SOLVED - Is it expected to not be able to open your own attachments?

When I try to do this I get redirected to a page that says I do not have permissions to do that.

And, is there a limit on overall attachment size?
And, what if I want to delete some attachments to help storage space on the server or to make my life easier?

@3246251196 firstly you don't have to worry about storage space on the server - we've got plenty

I don't understand why you can't open your own attachments though.

Are they from a very old post or a recent one?

You can view all of your attachments by clicking on your avatar on the top dark blue bar and choosing "Attachments", or click here: https://www.amibay.com/account/th-attachment-manager/

No worries about file size. As for resolution, the max is 1600x1600. If you upload an image larger than that, it will automatically be resized down for you. Also, we automatically optimize images to reduce their file size without compromising image quality.

the previous server had attachment limits, 1MB per image and 10MB max per post, iirc. I haven't seen one on this server as yet, but given how old the previous service was I would not be surprised if this new one has somewhere between 50 and 100x the capacity.

Can you explain where you posted these attachments? Are they for posts that are still in a draft mode or something like that?

Currently the limit is 32 MB per upload. No image will ever be that large though, as each image attachment is resized if it's too big and then optimized to take up less disk space.

Hi,

I was in the middle of writing a post. I wanted to attach images of the item(s). Cannot remember if I clicked on "Attach Files" or "Insert Multiple".

I have not yet submitted the posting. It is in progress. If you log on to my account you can probably go to Amiga>Selling>Post Thread and see my incomplete posting.

When I go to my profile and click on "Attachments" I can see all the thumbnails. But, when I click on a thumbnail I get "permission" denied.

I've just had a quick look and you've got 26 attachments.

25 of those are in your draft For Sale thread which is why they're not showing on your profile.

Once you post that thread they should then show within your attachments and allow you to view them from there.

@3246251196 also be advised that drafts expire after 72 hours or so.
