SuperCIC Region free modded US SNES JR for sale.
The case does have some blemishes but is still pretty decent. This machine has been modified, the onboard CIC lockout has been replaced with a SuperCIC region free version. This is done with a custom PCB fitted to the bottom of the motherboard internally. It will play any region cart and using the reset button can be switched between 50&60hz. This is all shown by an led fitted next to the power switch, hold down the reset button and release on desired setting. The colour coding is as follows.
Red LED - Forced 60hz
Orange LED - Automatic (console sets 50/60hz depending on inserted carts region)
Green LED - Forced 50hz
Being a US model the cart slot will fit all region carts without cutting the slot as can be seen in the pics.
There are five carts included, 3 pal and 2 US, carts all work but are not in the best condition.
The US style power connector was removed and a replacement socket was fitted as the original psu is difficult to get hold of in the UK.
Lastly, the AV cable supplied works fine but has some tearing to the sheath near the audio connectors. I'd recommend getting an RGB scart cable anyway (if going down the scart route you would need an RGB cable for NTSC SNES).
Console is supplied with power cable, AV cable, official us controller and 5 carts as pictured.
