Sold SuperCIC modded Snes

Hi all, picked up this machine a few days ago as faulty. There was no power so I opened it up and found it was covered in coffee. I stripped everything and scrubbed it all clean, motherboard included, and it came up really nice. However while in there I found the fuse was blown. I replaced it with a glass fuse and this restored power and the snes booted fine.

I then used a Nintendo hardware test rom to check it was working fine and it passed all tests.

I have now installed a SuperCIC chip which makes the console region free.

Holding down the reset button on the console allows you to select Pal 50hz (green led), Ntsc 60hz (red led) or auto (orange led) and which will detect the region of the inserted cartridge and set the console accordingly.

The console is in clean original colour with only minor yellowing the the front.

Will come with a controller (3rd party), AV cable (RGB recommended) and a self made power supply which works fine. No games/cartridges are included.

*Please note*

While the console is hardware capable of playing US cartridges I have not widened the slot so they will not physically fit as is.

I am asking £40 (was £50 then £45) plus p&p for this setup

Hi Red, I don't think this is a one chip. My understanding is the one chip crams both PPU and the CPU into one chip but this machine has them all seperate

declaring interest - im really tempted with this, as my modded super famicom died (well it stopped working unless i disconnected the reset switch and now its locked to 50hz). Only thing is i dont trust myself to be able to cut the case to fit US games. Are you able to do that at all?

Hi buddy,

This is another snes (yellowed) I cut a few days ago (my first attempt). If you're happy with how it looks I can make this one the same.

I will only do this though if you are definitely interested in the console as if I cut it and you pull out it could put others off. I hope you can understand that.
