I know i won't be finding one in the future, but have decided to let go of this one. This is a rather good condition Tandy 1000 ex from 1986, along with a CM-5 color CGA monitor, and two joysticks. Has 256k ram, and a serial port expansion board. I know i had a mouse that goes with it, but haven't been able to locate it yet. If i do find it, it will be included in the package.
Have no 5,1/4" DOS disks available, so can't say much about its true operational status, other than the fact that it turns on, the floppy whirls, it beeps, and up comes the system message asking for a bootable diskette.
Monitor is also operational.
The unit could use some cleaning, but as you can see she's been kept rather nice for her 28 years..
I really wanted to open 'er up and see if the interior would need cleaning, but there's a warranty sticker that covers the single screw that forbids it from opening up. Don't want to penetrate that, just in case some collector appreciates it being in place.
Picture time:
Serial board
Floppy rear
Expansion bay open
ditto..
Expansion bay closed.
Joystick ports, volume, and ear
Yes, there's a Video out port!
The warranty sticker. There's a screw beneath it.
Asking for 180 Euros on this, Paypal gift please, or add fees, plus shipping.
I'm willing to split the main unit and sell for 140 Euros, and 60 Euros for the monitor. However, i'm not willing to ship this monitor anywhere! It would have to be a local pickup, or a nearby drive.
Giving first chance until tomorrow towards user LionelMandrake who's opened a wanted thread here: https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=20156&highlight=tandy+1000
But that won't include the monitor. Second picks would be fellow members from Greece, due to the bulk nature and fragility of this setup. Unless someone declares interest for just the main unit that is.
Remember, this is an American-standards machine, requiring 110v power.
Thanks for looking!
