I just got a Tandy 1000 TL/3 off eBay (had one in 8th grade), and the seller does not have the disks. Unfortunately, they're also not on the original 20MB hard drive which appears to be loaded with the factory build.

Retrofitting properly with a CF boot drive via XTIDE is going to require changing the boot through Tandy's BIOS, and my understanding is the SETUPTL3.COM is required to make that type of modification.

I've tried the TL/2 version of the application, but as with all Tandy's, the setup is system specific.

Just need Disk 1 from the original shipping package -- it's the DOS 3.3 disk that includes a couple Tandy utilities. I came up empty on OldSkool.org, so hoping someone here can help a brother out.

There is also the option to retrofit with xta2sd, so you keep your expansion slots free.

That's something I am pondering as a matter of simplifying setup and saving card usage for the essentials. I setup a PicoMEM for networking and Ad Lib emulation. A little bummed memory expansion is out of the question for now unless I get Lo-Tech board.

There's a Tandy 1000 disk collection that contains the TL/3 setup file over on archive.org - hopefully that helps :)

Thank you! I'm in business!
