Just before I forget you will need to install the mediator sound/mixer driver first and then install ghostmix as per the ghostmix guide

The unreliable Mediator guide is a good one to follow (Click me) for when you do set it up

Curious that it's working with 8MB memory window, the newer TX board needs to be set to 4mb with TF1260.

Find that a bit strange the memory window is usually to let other things work like if you want a pcimia card slot to work you would need to set it to 4mb and in the case of my MediatorZIV it has a 4mb low and high option for using a Zorro Graphics card which is how I currently use it with a picasso IV & voodoo 3 2000

I have a TX I can give that a try at somepoint just to see if this is the case

Well I'll still give it ago and report back my finding. one thing I've not updated my TF1260 or my TF360, I need to contact @supaduper ref this but I wonder if this is a factor here too

So intial testing with the 1200TX is no boot whatever the jumpers are set too, this could be my firmware though.

I just want to try it with another accelerator because I can't seem to get it to boot without the accelerator and I'm sure it should it has been in storage for awhile

Update: got some life out of it but it needs a good clean will report back later

I think also my TF1260 has the early not updated firmware, so Tim's testbench should be very close to mine. I've now purchased the Mediator and it has been shipped to me. Exciting times! 🤓

Ok so I have got it to work with the 4mb window and that loads perfectly I've tried the 8mb window and that loads to the RTG screen just fine however if I open a folder it is not displayed correctly to me that's a setting issue so I'm continuing to play but mine does not freeze it will even load the Warp3D 68K demo

So maybe at this point the better option would be to set the jumper to 4Mb?

Oh no :D if you can use it with 8mb you want to use it there so on your one see how you get on

Unless you will be using the PCIMIA card slot then it will need to be set to 4MB

I'm trying another build I threw that one together last night

@Aardvark82 states that it freezes on switching to RTG mine isn't doing that on my TX I want to get a better OS build done first

This is when I can't get it to work again lol

On the TX, I seem to have made it worse but it does the same on 4mb or 8mb also the config jumper doesn't seem to have much affect on it like it does on the Mediator 1200 PCI.

It loads up to the workbench and then seems ok and when I open something it ramlibs or gives a fail message of some sort here's an example picture

Think I need to get an updated on my firmware for more testing at a later date

I'm gonna put the PCI 1200 back in now see how it rolls with this build

Is your TF1260 firmware the "999 beta" which only supports frequencies up to 80mhz? I think that's what I have and I really should also try to update to "1000 alpha" firmware. I got a rev6 060 coming my way and I wan't to try to push it as hard as possible. :D

If I'm honest I have no idea lol

Just a little update the 1200pci is doing the same with this OS so I thing it's because I installed MMUlibs this was not installed on the last OS I did for this trial

Isn't MMUlibs mandatory in order for the TF1260 to work? I'm starting to smell installation troubles once my mediator arrives.. 😅

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

With a mediator, installation troubles are normal lol I have had so many hair pulling moments with them

A 1200 mediator likes the MMU setting in envarc/mediator set to yes unless you are using a BPPC which it then states no, I believe this is causing me issues with the MMU library installed with MMUlibs, I may be totally though

Done a little more trialing of the Mediator, sorted the error issue out by starting from scratch again and the Mediator 1200 PCI works great with config = Closed and 8mb = Closed so @Rontti this config should work great for you

Now onto the mediator 1200TX setup: config = Closed if left open the TF1260 card is not seen in the Amiga boot menu but it still seems to load up.

4mb = closed everything seems to work correctly

8mb = closed Amiga boots normally but graphic glitches occur Amiga does not crash though to me it's a memory conflict which is the cause of the issue see screenshot below.

Just to confirm MMULibs is also installed it made no difference with it not installed

I also noticed that when the mediator is set to 4mb it thinks it is an SX but when set to 8mb it states it as a TX

Anyway it's been fun testing these and maybe a future update will sort the issues we are getting in the mediator TX when set to 8MB

Oh my look at the time I think it's time for bed...🛌

Alright, I'll use those jumper settings on the Mediator once it arrives. Thanks for the very thorough testing! (y)

@ Tim, there is a new firmware ( 68090 ) out and checking my records you have 999 firmware so it is x2 firmwares old, if you can`t update it just post to me to update

Cheer @supaduper I have a programmer but I don't know if it is the right type to be honest not looked into it really

Here is the one I have
