No sharp X68000, no NeXT cube?
I dunno about NeXT, but yeah, the X68k is a definite oversight.

And while I voted for the Amiga because I really do feel it was the best, I want to give an honorable mention to the MSX - it's a well-documented and versatile standard that's amazingly sane for an 8-bit machine, plus being pretty flexible (as long as you don't need smooth scrolling.)

The NES, because it had fairly good GFX for its time and is a fun as hell system, down to blowing the heck out of carts

Update Pol.

anyone have any more wishes for inclusions, just state in thread =)

I started my computers life with a ZX81 clone with 1kb (!) RAM..Then expanded it with a 16kb RAM pack and a home-made (guess by who?) Kempston.

Then an Apple2 clone (at that time Brazil had a market reserve and computers from other places where forbidden). Sold a few months after, I hate it! Pretty much the same I felt for the MSX.

Then turned to the dark side: a 286 pc, until I saw an A500. The rest is history.

So, the Amiga is the best computer of that era. Seconded by the C64/128, which I never had until recently.

The C128 is miles better than any Spectrum I saw to this day, sorry for the sincerity.

thanks for including a poll i tried initially but i must of messed it up as it didnt appear...

well my computing life started with a Ti99/4a in about 1984 (ish) they were cheap at the time, then i moved on to a ZX81 and i was startled how rubbish it was compared to the ti99 - (i was a kid remember)..my school had just got the BBC B computer then , we had 6 with 6 CUB monitior , they were networked and had a winchester disk drive that was HUGE!
Then Zx spectrum just because most kids had them , then C64 and after i left school i bought a Amiga A500 with money from my first job

But i would agree the Amiga should be still in production today, its a crime that the trash microsoft produce is so readily bought by people - have they no idea???

I think the majority are going to vote amiga on this one... I mean, we all love it!
