Vampire 4 Doesnt work.....

It was fine working yesterday but for some reason doesnt work today. I thought it was CF Hard drive was loose then I checked inside that wasnt loose.

I used Anker Power Plug(24V) and also Switcher(for turning on or off instead of taking plug off!).

Any Idea Guys?

Can you give us a litte more information please

- Is the PowerLED on the case active?
If the POWER LED is not active at all, and you look inside the Case
then you can find inside the machine a LED on to lower bottom of the PCB next to the coils.
This internal LED will glow when the voltage from powersupply is good.
If not then please check your Power cabeling.
- Do you see activity on the HD LED?
- Do you see a picture on HDMI?
If you not see a picture, can you then check that the HDMI cable is properly plugged in?
- Can you list what is plugged in your C4, what Hardware and other devices are attached to it?
- Did you change anything in your setup / replace some hardware, cables, added something etc?

When I turn on Vampire 4 and There was Red Light and Yellow Light that stay on Yellow Light for so long!

If not then please check your Power cabeling - Yes, I have check power cable and it is fine when was working other day

If you not see a picture, can you then check that the HDMI cable is properly plugged in? HDMI Cable already plug in very well, so cant be HDMI Problem.

- Can you list what is plugged in your C4, what Hardware and other devices are attached to it? The only Device I used are Anker(Power Plug), Switcher, Cable lead and that it

- Did you change anything in your setup / replace some hardware, cables, added something etc? I havnt change anythings whatever and Dunno why it stop working when other day I was using Vampire 4 most of the day!

The V4 will on power on do a selftest.
During the selftest, hardware and memory are tested.
The screen will change colors during different section of the test

Do you see the colors change on selftest?

If not, next question is, did you see them before.
The selftest goes rather quick... and some monitors are little slow on syncing and might not show it fully as they are still not synced.

If you see the selftest but later only black screen when the OS did boot up,
this could be something harmless, like selected a Screenmode in the prefs that is out of the range of your monitor.

Can you enter AMIGA EARLY BOOT MENU ?
(you go there by holding both mouse buttons pressed during power on)

Or can you remove the CF card, (just pull out) you should then "Please insert Disk Screen"

Does your monitor shown them?

Which OS do you use currently? You said Vampire 4 OS, did you mean "Apollo OS"?
Which version of it are you using?

In my experience is pretty easy to on Amiga to select a screenmode outside of the supported range of your monitor. If this happened you will see no screen after booting.
You should see the selftest color change, and you should be able to enter Early BootMenu, and you should be able to select to boot in CLI, from which you can set the Screenmode setting back.

This sounds like a lot to me, considering that the Apollo Vampire 4 needs in the order of 2-3 Watt...

The power plug should ideally provide 5.0 to 5.2 Volt to the system.
If it does provide the correct Voltage than the extra WATT/AMP are not really important.

From your comment I wonder, you do not seem to use the official Vampire Power cable,
any reason for this? Did you buy the machine 2nd hand?

Do you know that there is a Apollo Vampire user community on Discord with hundreds or thousands of active users helping each other?

any reason for this? the reason is that it didnt come with Vampire 4 official power brick as it came with Vampire 4, leads and no plug but show his screen that was working.

I will try solve the problem soon as I get Vampire 4 official power brick soon to recived it and test it.
