Ive got two of these now lol :D Both have rev 6a motherboards though

Nice little "in-between" machine, wants to be a 500+ but not quite there!

I got a 500 plus back in 1991 we were expecting an original 500 but our Cartoon Classics pack featured the spanking new plus model.

The first Amiga 500 I bought had long sticker, A500+ board inside and red LED :). Loved it :). And it was one of the last batches of A500's in sale in Poland.

Preowned or new Amiga 500 with a A500 sticker and A500+ board inside? (And kick 1.3 )

Ive got two of these now lol :D Both have rev 6a motherboards though

Made in Philippines? :) And have you tested some games on them if they got any compatibility issues? I remember mine had problems running a Dylan Dog game and WWF from Ocean (dont remember which one), same copies worked on different Amigas 500 but not on mine.

There were sold here in pretty large quantities and from what I've heard they are not so common here now, I cant find one (want one just for the case), And you got two, thats unfair :D

Edit 21-08-2012:
Pics of the hybrid Amiga:

Two things make up this story.

Official new machines with the wide badge (and their christmas story) were indeed rev 8a boards, trimmed to be A500's (including Kickstart 1.3!). This happened when the A500 plus was about to be released.

The hybrid machines (wide badge but with lower rev mainboards) are most likely (factory) refurbished machines, C= took parts from all over (repaired mainboards, new cases etc) to build these machines up. These were either sold as new (including warranty seals) or as factory refurbs.
