I offer for sale a WG MA-10A portable computer (which is a rebranded Dolch PAC 64).
The bad: during a previous shipping the external plastic cover of the computer was seriously damaged at a few places, and one of the two plastic parts holding the keyboard in place when it is folded up has broken off (although the remaining one is enough to keep it in place). Although the backlighting of the screen works, it displays an extremely fuzzy and faint image.
The good: despite the external damage, when connected to a VGA monitor, the machine works flawlessly. The hard disk is functional, the floppy drive reads and writes, the CD-ROM drive reads, the serial port works (I tested only one of the two), the USB port works (I tested only one of the four with a pen drive), the keyboard works. The machine is unique because it contains also a HP-IB / GPIB / IEEE-488 port, which I was unable to test as I have no compatible device. It also has a special measurement card branded "Hörer AG-019", whose purpose and function I know nothing of. The motherboard has three 16-bit ISA slots and two PCI slots.
Windows 98 is installed on the machine (which is, AFAIK, is the minimum to be able to handle USB devices).
The Dolch machines are famous for their excellent mechanical keyboards. Also this computer is ideal for retro-gaming or for transferring data to/from other vintage machines.
Asking €60 (was €75). Postage inside EU is roughly €25-40, depending on the country (the computer is around 10kg). Also advertised elsewhere.
Payment through PayPal (family/friends) or bank transfer.
