Hi All,

I have my TF536 and installed AmigaOS3.2, on bootup it displays this screen that says a 68030 processor was found in the system but a corresponding CPU library is missing. This may cause some programs to hang or may cause caching issues on I/O operations.

Alternatively, include a tool in S:Startup-Sequence that enables the MMU, and remove CPU CheckInstall from S:Startup-Dequence as well.

Can anyone please tell me what I should be doing to get the right CPU library in place??

Thanks
J

Install OS3 2 as an Expert User and make sure you install both the Modules and MMULibs disks, again as an Expert User.

You will be asked what accelerator card you have, I usually select Other from the list. Not had any problems by doing it this way.

I'm not aware of any required libraries for 68030 it should be as compatible as 68020 in nearly all applications.

I'd recommend commenting out the CPU check line in startup-sequence.

If you had a 68040/060 I'd certainly recommend installing the appropriate libraries.

AmigaOS 3.1.4 and above from Hyperion implemented a CPU check in the Startup-sequence. 3.2 onwards gets more upset if you don’t apply the required CPU library. They even provide a version of THorsMMUlibs to install which has 68020,68030,68040 and 68060 CPU libraries. I’m guessing this is because of how the newer OS works to make the system more fluid.

You need to install MMULibs, and please do not use OS3.2 disk - it doesn't include uFASTROM !
Use latest full version from Aminet:
(choose expert mode on installing)
uFASTROM is very useful for TF accelerators, it copies Kickstart in FastRAM and gives a good boost to the system,
Best regards,
