As im still fresh and excited by all things Amiga - hey ive been away from the old girl for 15 years...

i was wondering what people use there Amiga for and what is the most popular model and uses for them are....

i left in 93/94 and things have changed a lot in Amiga land...for one only the older members of my family remember them!

:)

I use my Amiga for playing those damn games i never finished! , running some great emulators that my A500 in the 90s couldn't handle. Going on the net (not great fun but hey ho) and trying demos and stuff from Aminet

A4000 (very poorly - life support at hand) A1200 - still motoring on!
A600 lent out in 1998...never seen again! maybe in newcastle , if you see it , its mine!

My two A500's are used as car ramps

Games and general nostalgic arsing about with Workbench and such. It has no "practical" use for me, just entertainment :)

I mainly use it for old A500 games and the more sofisticated ones for Demo watching

I also use it as a highly efficient way to get rid of disposable income...

ahh same here money + amiga interest = room full of noisey hard drives and loud fans!

I use mine to reminisce. I love the old cracktros & put them on my You Tube site. I also love to play games still on a real Amiga especially Kick Off 2 Final Whistle, Sensi Soccer & Megalomania which takes up quite a bit of my time.:D

That's true, in fact the value seems to go up these days on some of the rarer parts so it could be seen as an "investment" - that's my excuse anyway :shhh:

Play a lot, do workbench stuff, add hardware I couldn't pay before...

& I LOVE to show my students how a REAL computer should work, doing lots of stuff with minimal resources. :rainbow:

Many of those things a high end PC (Piece of Crap) still can't do.
:computertrash:
