Interesting reading in all this.
I'd agreed with jvdbossc - if you don't have applications to do what you want then frustration will set in. I want my "amiga" to be useful and not to just sit in the corner looking forlorn.
I see the amiga "market" as coming from two directions - the retro/classic user where 68k is king, and the user who likes the newer OSes having the power to do extra things.
Personally having fired up my old A500 recently and got bitten by the amiga bug again, I think both are needed. I like the way the A500 works but I want my modern creature comforts in the OS. Firefox for workbench 1.3 anybody ?.
So, how about an X1000 with plenty of applications and a PCI-e plugin mk2 AGA minimig ?
