friend got an Intellivision back in 1980....so it would have been Astrosmash, followed by Utopia

oh, and first computer game proper- Odyssey: the Compleat Adventure, Apple II, Grade 7, 1982 (still a fantastic Adventure/Trading game btw)

No idea. It would either have been on an Amstrad PC1512 or an Acorn Electron.

Some of the earliest PC games I played were stuff like... Beast, Pango, Xonix, Sopwith, Rogue, Alleycat, 3-Demon, Digger.

Acorn Electron... Arcadians, Repton, Snapper, Boxer.

Could have been any of those. Or something else.

The first game I remember was this one. I got it for Xmas in 1976.

My first computer game was in school on my math teachers' Apple II.

Xenon 1 on Oric 1. The Oric 1 was my first computer, bought it with my hard earned cash worked part time at Pizza Hut. I was in my late teen and lived in London.

Upgraded the Oric 1 to Oric Atmos of which I still have. The Atmos is in its box now and it hasn't been turned on in about 17 years. Might purchase a monitor cable and fire it up just to see if it still OK.

Computer? Probably Jawbreaker on a C=64 at school. The first computer game I played at home was probably Sopwith Camel on the IBM XT. First game ever would be Galaxian in an arcade.

Frogger on the Atari 2600 circa Christmas 1983 - I didn't get a chance until Boxing Day! :(

The Atmos is likely to run without issues. Maybe some capacitors might have dried up, but they can be easily replaced.

Make sure you do, buddy!

Yes, the Oric got my attention too and THE ULTRA by PSS takes some beating - the 1st computer game I ever really got into.

Terrific arcade action - every bit as good as Arcadia 64 with its ever increasing challenges as you advance through the screens of aliens/laser overheating.

Let me know, Vnman, if you need any help with the Atmos.

Best wishes and enjoy XENON-1 (plus the sequels - Zorgon's Revenge and the final part in the trilogy XENON-III).

OK I just ordered a monitor cable for the Oric from a well known cables seller. Should be here in a day or two. Will definitely fire the Atmos up this weekend.

Before getting a computer : PacMan at a computer expo back in 1986
On my first computer (286) : Airborne Ranger or California Games, back in 1990

Space Invaders at a bar (the very first coin-op videogame I can remember - I'm not even sure arcades existed back then), then probably Kangaroo or E.T. on the Atari 2600 and maybe Sabre Wulf on the Speccy.

Cool, Vnman.
Let me know how you get on, what you fire up and here's a challenge - beat 46,400 on Harrier Attack (skill level 3).
Cheers!

Mine was PARSEC on the Ti99/4a in late 1983 (xmas 83)

There was an educational game on a mac in about 91/92 like space taxi and someone would get in the taxi and tell you the planet they wanted.

Another was a circus game on a home console about the same time, games were like tight rope and lifting weights
