Inspired by a thread I stumbled upon elsewhere recently, I was wondering, what Amiga game do you think stands out, visually speaking?

I mean original Amiga games, nothing from later in its life that takes advantage of a graphics card, more stuff from its hey-day and the twilight years, if you see what I mean :)

Off the top of my head:

Elf Mania

Superfrog

Capital Punishment

I cant think of any others off the top of my head, what do you think? :)

Beast

This was one of those moments when Amiga still managed to impress me to this day :)

Skeleton Krew (1200 and cd32)

As for ocs/ecs: Turrican 2 is not only a great game but also one with great graphics... but then Turrican 3 surprised me with a totally different kind of art style:

When I play Turrican 2 after I have played Turrican 3, I like the gameplay better but I can´t help feeling I liked the graphics more in Turrican 3.

for me it was the size of the characters and the sound..

Sword of Sodan

made me go WOW a the time.

IT is hard one to pick....

Capital Punishment got better shadow than Elf Mania...

So if you looking for good Graphics

then it is

Shadow of the Beast
FLASHBACK (IT was amazing at the time!)

I am sure there is more for A1200 games that had extra more colours

Hey Taj, nice thread!

I'd have to say Revolutions Beneath a Steel Sky... The animation on that was great. I was impressed with the intro when I first saw it.

These guys then went on to make the Broken Sword series taht I loved so much on PC.

Of course Delphine's games are up there as well.

I find most adventure titles tended to put a lot of effort into the visuals back in the day. Made them a joy to play through.

Full Contact by Team17

Yes, that was the name. I was searching my personal ram ofr it, but could only remember the awesome animation and the shadow presentation. Great stuff!

The intro on Another World was awesome too:)

Hell yeah that was good, gameplay wise for me it would have to be Rainbow Islands, it was just so damn colorful.

Have to say Taj top marks on a decent thread, what I mean is, after all these years of Amiga threads it is hard to come up with original ones. You got a big tick there

@Jimbo & Amineo

 but I stole it from someone else :p:lol::D

Don't start with intros mate, we'll jump to another subject (a new thread perhaps?). :p
Oops, yeah its probably best to keep intros out of this

I must also say, Team 17 generally made very polished good looking games but they played well too!

Rise of the robots stands out for me. Shame about the gameplay mind

When I wrote out my original post, I kept thinking that Elfmania stands out so well, but then you think "heck, thats on an Amiga 500!:o!"

Agony, Shadow of the Beast series, The Killing Game Show (yes, I am addicted to Psygnosis :) ).
