"Wow! It's so cute! A mini Wii! It looks perfect!"

Wondering whether it had any extra features such as HD or DVD movie playback I looked at the back of the box, which informed me that the SD slot is missing as is the Wifi.

Now I'm back at the house I looked up the full feature list on the internet and there isn't even Gamecube support.

How do other people feel about the Wii Mini?

Nice as a very basic wii for kids/collectors. But for half the price you can grab a fully loaded wii with all the features..
So depends if you want to mod it etc as to how good it would be for your needs. :-)

It does what it is supposed to do for a lowish price, but the used marked is full of wiis with bundle of games and controllers. So I'm a bit "meh" about it.

I've been out of the Wii for a while now, is the mini moddable/homebrew-able?

Would be interesting then :)

Apparently it has no SD slot and no Wifi so there is no way of loading files to mod it.

Not sure if it has USB but most forums suggest its not moddable.

No component out either, which was the only sensible video out to HD tvs. I can completely understand the lack of WiFi as the wii server support is mostly gone and going, but component out and SD card slot to transfer saves (and erm..)?

I'll be getting one for prosperity, when they're throwing them away.

I quite like the idea, a console that doesn't go on the internet and update it's self that you play real games on that you buy from the shops.

It's almost retr0

It doesn't even have the same dvd rom connector, so it won't work with dvd emulators either (like wode).

money for old rope, same old crap games too. :picard

sure my mate said the new Uii has a Wii 'emulator' built in, so can play the same old

I can't see the point myself and as we have just bought a Wii U, our current Wii will find a new home upstairs where it'll take the place of my Gamecube.
