As per title, I'm looking for windows 7 starter. Which was a cut down version of windows 7 usually for netbooks. Please pm me. I can't see it for sale anywhere

Windows 7 starter was an oem only product as far as I'm aware however if you have any edition of windows 7 you can make an ISO then search for the ei.cfg removal tool and point it at your ISO before burning it.

basically the windows 7 disc has all editions and the version is determined by the ei.cfg file placed on the disk so if that file is not present it asks which version you'd like to install when you start the install.

Guide here

Scrappysphinx is right, Windows 7 Starter is only available to OEM, there's no FPP (Full Packaged Product/Boxed Retail) or MLK (Medialess License Key/Download Only)

The guide above posted from scrappysphinx does work, I've tried it myself on occasions to get Windows 7 Professional discs to allow me to install other editions.

Ok thanks chaps for the link. I will try it when I get a chance.

Edit: Ive just had a read of the guide. I have an original disc, if I make an ISO of it, I just edit the ei.cfg file in it and then run it?
