Who has the misfortune of working today or Monday ?

For those that don't know , this is Easter and bank holidays in the uk.

History -

Uk bank holidays are when banks / government buildings (mostly) are closed.

I could be playing mission impossible on the c64 but then I was rubbish at it 30 years ago :-)

youll have plenty of time:D

Supposed to be 4:30 Roy , but I've said - 12:00 thank you very much.

They need me in at work more than I need to be there :-)

I've been working 7 till 7 some days - a rest Is needed.the manager had a mini heart attack yesterday and we lost a big order...

Not sure Roy , he's in hospital for tests - could well be stress , he's at work from 4am until 8 at night most days.

Hopefully he's ok, a nice guy but over worked terribly. Small company and too much work.

wish him well for me mike.:)

i know some peaple hate there bosses, but for the most part they have a bussiness to run and pay there workers.:)

i hope the guy thats left in charge is ok.some ive encountered arnt too nice.

Will do. He's a nice chap - the works owner & son are the nobs but hey that's another story.

you expect that sometimes, just dont let them get to you.:)

after all,its only work.

Sadly we have the small company syndrome here.

Small company trying to be big. We seem to accept all orders with impossible deadlines and we fail to meet almost everyone - that's why we have lost a big order yesterday but the bosses answer is to go back to them and offer quicker delivery and if that fails , lower costs.

Nightmare

They don't get to me Roy, seen it all before.

I used to be a supervisor / manager / foreman etc -

:-)

thats just bad management.

they will have to watch what there doing, sometimes taking on too much work with unrealistic deadlines can put a company out of work.

on the other hand, its good being in a small business job wise as you will be needed more.

(larger companys as a whole dont really give a toss about there workers these days)

Yes it is very bad management.

The order we lost was a month late and hasn't even been issued to production yet - well not to me. They had just started to setup the lasers.

A big well done to the bosses son in charge I think :-)

My sis and her fella work for Royal Mail - delivering.

Not a good job they say :-(

Bank holidays have no meaning at all for me. Work carries on as normal. The only thing that happens is that I forget that everything is shut and it gets more of a pain in the arse to get stuff done.
