Xbox hard drive question

From what i gather My XBOX has been TSOP modded and i wanted to upgrade my hard drive from the 80gb I have to a 500GB.

Would this be a simple change of hard drive and install all my programs or would i have to do something else ?

just need an installer disk. like hexen or sid excetera.

put the new hard disk in and then boot the xbox with the relivant installer dvd in the drive.

follow on screen junk.

This is only applicable to tsop / chiped boxes. soft mods would need it prepaired diferently.

after you have done that you would need to run xbpartitoner. to corectly partiton the drive and select correct cluster sizes.

with a 500Gb drive if you make 2x 250mb partitions (will be slightly less) then you will get the least amount of issues as they will still be using the default 16k clusters so is less likley for xb partitioner to write the wrong cluster sizes.

all in all id recomend heimdalls xbox engineering disk "hexen" for the process.

I find the AID disk to be very good

AID = Auto Installer Deluxe.

right now i am cleaering out my old 80gb hard drive as i want to set it up right and the way i want it to be. I only play emulation and homebrew stuff anyway so XBMC is overkill for me even if it does look nice.
