Hey all,
More on my Blog,
I just got back from the local thrift store and picked up this beauty!
I thought it was just a file Cabnet, but since it was a Commodore I had to have it. Low and behold its a DESK! I will get better photos of it later when I have my good camera back, but I am rushed today to go for our Amicue user group and I have to work tonight.
For those that want specs, its 48 inches high and 29 inches long, 18 inches deep. once i clean it up, I probably will put my A600 in it. and it does have a file drawer. Here, cheap new file cabnets can be bought for $50, I got this for $40 and it went to charity!
Bad phone camera photos

Now I MUST HAVE ONE!

Re: You Know your a Commodore Fan when....

The only accelerator Z can add to that Commodore piece of hardware is a set of wheels......

LOL :ROTFLOL2:
I am getting 2 -plus/4's in, so one will probably go in there, or at least in the drawers :inlove:
I think I like the TED's

Zetro, it would probably cost a whole lot of coin to ship this to the UK., but I will look for another one just for you. :thumbsup2:

Pass.

PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASS!!!

For crying out loud ... :)

.oO(What's it all come to... *wanders off mumbling*)

here are a few better pictures before I cleaned up the mess.
Guess all the Commodore stuff and win a bubble gum:p
The 1701 monitor would not fit inside the desk (My small TV does) but I was using the cabinet as a test bench that day.

Nice an messy already, a proper computer nut, just what I like to see!

[EDIT] 100th Post. Look's like i'm here to stay at this rate! *gasp*

A clean workbench, tends to point to it not being used enough! If it's messy, and the mess changes on a day to day basis, you know it is being utilized. If it is clean, then the person has too much time to Keep it clean. I really need a lab, proper work space, as this tiny 1 bedroom Apartment looks like an electronics's bone yard, and not a place one should live in.

Are you a Commodore fan if you still have one of their calculators that works off the oblong 9v batteries from the red LED 7 and 8 series (1974 to 1979 in black so it's probably a 796M) that still works?

The picture isn't of mine but you get the idea.

I have one Commodore calculator, boxed with instructions too. :p

One C=16, one Plus/4, a CD32 under a pile of wires with the companion joypad, upper half of a C128 turned upside down, a C=1701 monitor, one 1541 5.25" floppy unit and another unbranded clone, plus a beige C= datassette.

PLUS the C= cabinet. :p

You pay the bubble gum postage!:p:p:p

You missed the back end of the PET! The "unbranded clone" is a 1541-11 (commodore Brand) also a 1531 (black Dattasette in the box), the T-1541 joystick, the "Cuthroats" game, the VIC 20 manual, the C64 manual (under the CD spindle), the floppy sleeves under the VIC manual were the C128 tutorial disks, the Rise of the robots CD, and the Amiga falcon boxed game, and a c64 math disk. The 128 Power supply, the Amiga to ATX adaptor, and the RF shield for the C128, and the C16 Tutor Cartridge.. I think that is it, but there could be more. Thats were my "resident evil"DVD, and NERO 8 CD....

Yes, anything (even a typewriter of the 60's) Commodore made and or/ Jack floged counts- even watches.
I am still trying to hunt down a nice calculator or adding machine.
