Hi everyone,

I have two Amiga2000 cards that i want to fit to my Amiga500 :help:

2 meg board and SCSI HDD controller board(both untested so far), i believe that i need a BUSTER chip from a Amiga2000 to build a zorro adapter with 2 slots.

Is it possible to use a SUPER BUSTER 11 like the one Vesalia sells.

And does anyone know of a good guide to build a two slot Zorro for Amiga500 or some kind of hack.

Cheers

well the slot on the side of the 500 is a zorro slot.

as for the buster chip the simple answer is no.

there was a guide years ago for making the 86pin slot a 100pin slot for this purpose, but for the life of me i cant remember where ive seen it.(the signals are there for this)

hardly the answer you are looking for, but would it not be easier to just sell these 2 cards and get a side-car expansion?

there is a bus board for the 500 that gives you five zorro slots, they appear on ebay every so often at a high price but they don't have a buster.

Dont see to many side-car expansions here in NZ, and like the idea of HACKING:cool:

From what I know, you will need a Buster controller only when using two DMA devices (say, a good SCSI controller and a video board).

Zorro dual slot implementation is not very hard to do electronically, but mechanically they will be a nightmare, you will have to mount one card vertically and another laying flat on the desk ( in a _|_ shape).

You just have to invert two traces to achieve this, let me dig my literature and I'll hint you which track are those.
