I have a 060 kicking about in a drawer, so declaring interest in 1 adapter.

btw, the instructions say 7x100uF capacitor - shouldn't that be 100nF?

Yes your right

the picture is of old instructions, I have long updated them, so what you receive will be correct. Just me being lazy and not taking a new picture. Newer instructions and guide is also a lot more thorough

Thats 16 sold now, am not really planning on doing more than 20 really due to time constraints, so, if anyone still want one time/availability is limited :o

Interested!

Is there anyone that can assemble it and modify a warp engine for me? I'm in Afghanistan and can't work on this stuff right now but would love some help if someone out there can help me.

Edit: payment sent for 1 unit

Hello,

I've been reading several of these lengthy 68040-to-68060-adapters threads the last few months, and I would find it great if someone could create a specific thread for feedbacks and benchmarking of these adapters.

Being aware of the relative complexity of assembling and using these kits, it would be very interesting if people involved in these modifications would participate to this thread to share their experience building them.
Indeed, many variables are to be taken into account :

- there are several variations/revisions of these kits
- Different cards can be targeted: A3640, WarpEngine....
- depending on one's willingness to go down the rabbit hole, one can choose the path of "full 060/3.9-eprom-burning" or the simpler "MMU/FPU emasculed 060" with possible system crashs.

And I personnaly found difficult to browse the various "040-to-060" related threads to try and find (few) relevant info about how people attempts turned out.
Besides, these threads are obviously trade related, so I feel a feedback thread would be complementary and, to my opinion, useful for those who are considering this dramatic alteration of their hardware (me included), but still hesitate.

Waiting for your opinion on this topic ;-)
Thomas.

Interest withdrawn.

i decided to just stick to the 040@40mhz as my soldering skills are not good enough to risk a wrong assembled board.
