Hi. Tom Do you have any ide boards left for the Amiga 1000 (that I got for free from my wife's friend) and would love to fit a harddrive inside it..

Thanks..
Mike..

Just a heads up - I spoke with tomthul via PM, and while he doesn't have any more A1000 RAM/IDE boards left right now, he mentioned being willing to make more if there are enough people interested.

Declaring interest in RAM/IDE board - about to revive my A1000 :)

Hi!

Declaring interest in the RAM & Ide board too for my A1000!

amiga ide/8mb ram

amiga ide/8mb ram

Hello All, I received a few requests for the ide board and ram board.....
How many should I make? Does anyone else want the board files to
make them? I used express pcb but the files can be converted to
gerber. I also received a request for just blank boards....What do you
guys want me to do???? I need help!!!!

Declaring interest. Just bought a 1000 a month ago, very happy with it but I would like to buy a combined ram/ide board - internal fit would be better but external will do.

All the other Amiga models(except maybe the 500) have a few ram/ide options out there but not so much the 1000. Great machine that I want to keep going for another 20 plus years!

Tom, maybe you should start a list?

Say something like this:
A. RAM/IDE Board for A1000 [insert spec here]
1. Hanxor
2. [insert your name here]

B. Just the PCB
1. [Insert your name here]
:)

----------- EDIT ----------
OR maybe - maybe you start two or three new threads, with specs for each item you can make, and the price. I scanned the thread and it seems you have external RAM board, external IDE board, Internal 4MB board, and Internal 8MB board. I'm a bit lost as to what inventory you have, and what the prices are. I suggest starting new threads - as many, as many items you can bake for us A1000 owners :) Threads with pics, specs and price tag. And then - just count the interests declared.

From what Tomthul is saying there are 3 distinct items;

1)Ram board that goes under the 68k cpu and...

2)CF ide adapter that goes on the side expansion port.

3)A kickstart board that fits on the 68k.

The ide adapter sounds great. It can accomodate 2 CF cards , one formatted in Fat95 and the other in AmigaDos for easier file transfer. The amiga 1000 could so use this. I don't know what production levels are like but I guess he is trying to gauge levels of interest.

Tomthul, I am interested in 1 A1000 RAM/IDE boards fully assembled.

Could you please edit your first post to put some pictures of your products ?
And what is the kickstart board ?
Any chance to see a product that can increase chip ram memory of the A1000 to at least 1mb ??
Cheers.

My thinking: go ahead and count the interested ones, then print, assemble, sell & ship :)

I'm interested.

An IDE with ram board is the way to go that way it can be used in any Amiga with a DIP 68000 socket. Just make sure it can fit the A1000.

@DutchinUSA - I thought a kickstart board could be put in an 1000 but not without some soldering involved. Someone please correct me if I wrong on that score.

The internal ramide board looks very tidy. I would greatly prefer that to an external solution.

As a thought: would the board support 2 drives? 1 pc format and the second amigados format to facilitate file transfers. You could then maybe route the pc drive thru the side expansion with a longer cable. Amiga 500 support would be a bonus.

If it isn't the case then its not a deal breaker for me. I'm definitely interested.

I was just wondering if Tom planned to make an Amiga 1000 kickstart board, would be nice not to have to boot kickstart from floppy
