Re: a1200 in an a600 case

Brilliant hacking -Well I never use floppys and now youve got your accelerator in you can run all those WHDload games! Keep the picys comeing -

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

Now that is an In-F*cking-Tense Hackery right there...

hell that stuff even makes my hair curly!

JimBob, you truly are a Hardware Hacker without fear, I salute you sir!

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

got to say thanks to JuvUK for the connector he gave me to do this

thanks mate james

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

No worries m8,
i'm glad i could help, great piece of kit you have there, well done!!!
and this is why i like the amiga community, it's about helping each other out and not trying to fleece one another all the time, this is a good thing me thinks ;o)

is there any amiga mags still going that this could be shown in??

james

I believe Amiga Future is the only paper magazine at this moment. There probably are several digital mags (there is one in Holland - no Amiga-only but Commodore in general)

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

There should be a Commodore mag Im always intrested in new Games for C64 or any of the Retro Commodores also theres some nice hacks been done for C64 Towers E.t.c.

I mean Zetr0 alone all his hardware hacks you could probably make a good book of p0rn
The Big Book Of HardWare Hacks.

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

Amazing, considering doing it myself.. have you confirmed that it works though or is it only a test fit?

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

all up and running mate i will try and put to gether something to show how iv done it all

james

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

@JimBob005

Quite Clearly

whos-awesome.jpg

now I think theres a thread on EAB on how to make DF1 a DF0 :D

Its fantastic m8... really really is!!!

I would say 95% of what I would call hardcore hardware hackers probably would not of attempted this, let alone managed to pull it off!!!

Fantastic work m8.... clearly I am speachless

infact so much so I made a new keyboard

thanks for the kind works im happy this is all working i dont think i will get much more in side there i would like usb and put the port where the floppy button is but i dont think i will fit any more boards in there.

thanks james

p.s can some one please send me a hi res pic of a normal a600hd with the lid lifted up

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

Haha! I need to do this to one of my A1200 mobos!

You should be able to fit a BPPC/Bvision inside there

Did you solder the wires straight on the fastslot connector on the A1200 motherboard?

Re: a1200 in an a600 case

Great work indeed  :)

Now, I'm in need of an extension cable for the accelerator card, where did you get this extension part?

Is it self made or can you get the connectors from some place?

Would appreciate any pointers 8) Thanks!
