I already tried 2nd.scsi.device earlier, it didn't work.

I thought 2nd.scsi.device was IDE on the A4000T if you were booting off SCSI? I don't have any IDE devices on the A4000T.

Maybe I've got it the wrong way round then, have you terminated the end of the SCSI chain?

Yeah everything is as it should be. Looks like either the SCSI board is dead, or the 3.1 ROMs are from an A4000 and therfore the SCSI code is missing (unlikely).

Sadly I'm not sure I use a FastATA with mine

Workbench should tell you the kickstart rom number which will let you know what rom it is or even the amiga boot disk screen it should say 3.1 rom followed by 40.070 for the A4KT rom

Why would someone do this? Are they original? They look like EEPROMS, AMD from 1997.

Yeah 40.68 is regular A4k Rom.

Is there a hole under the labels if so yeah EEPROMS. Get them flashed to 3.2 since you own the license

Ordered replacement 3.2 ROMs yesterday. At least I know I'm not losing my mind. Thanks for your advice mate.

Just can't believe it.

If it was easy it wouldn't be a regular Amiga project lol. I bought a couple of Zorro cards for my Denise project without realising the Vampire doesn't play nicely so I've been tearing my hair our this week! Hang in there, once you have the right Roms I bet everything will fall into place. One thing I do remember from my A4000T is I did have stability issues due to the case flexing and unseating Roms/Expansion and even my Buster once because it was socketed. Something to watch out for.

Here's my old project, I think the pics still show even though my photo bucket account lapsed. Lol

That looks brilliant!! I had an A4000 that I got 23 years ago, held together with string. I loved it. Didn't use it for years during my late 20s and sold it when I was 30 to buy a house.

Really regretted it.

Now I'm in a decent job I can afford to build the Amiga I always lusted after when I was a kid. I'm almost there 😀

I'll no doubt be back posting in this thread when it throws me another curveball, but that's all part of the experience isn't it 😉

I sold everything in 2014/15 due to redundancy sadly but I have built up another collection over the last 5 years or so, kinda going full circle lol

Well **** me.

Seriously??

Boom there it is

Well at least you know what the problem is.

They are eeproms so you could get them reflashed, will say the are marked as just A4K ROMs and not A4KT ROMs.

Now my brain is working overtime and I'm thinking maybe there's nothing wring with my 3.2.2 ROMs after all, and something wrong with the motherboard and that's why it doesn't have the proper 40.70 ROMs fitted.

Urgh.
