Declaring interest in 1 unit, provided this will solve my problem with Kippers 608 blocking a normal adapter?

From my understanding this board requires that the IDE drivers are in Kickstart, correct? Does 3.1 Kickstart for the A500 contain the IDE drivers? Or only 3.1 for the A600?

You need KS2.05 or KS3.1 for the IDE to work - you can also patch KS1.3 with the scsi.device file from KS3.1 if you have the ability to burn your own ROM's.

I've contacted mkl by PM and he said that there are 2 wires from the IDE- adapter that have to be soldered onto the CDTV's motherboard. I've asked to where exactly on the mobo, but no answer so far... Does anyone else has an idea on how to do this?

A600 and A500 use the same KS-ROM 3.1 (Version 40.063)

I guess /int2 and /ovr might be located at the Gary and CIA pins.

Is there anyone who can point out to where exactly the int2/ovr pins are?
Maybe there's someone who has mounted this with succes in an CDTV?

I asked the same question via PM weeks ago ... so still interested in the answer if anyone has more experience.
Thank you in advance.

According to HERE, /OVR is on Pin 11 of the Diagnostic Slot and /INT2 is on Pin 13.

While I don't own a CDTV, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to trace a suitable location on the mainboard to solder these two connections.

@ Draxx

Thanks for the info. But I'd rather had have another HD solution for my CDTV.
It's a little vague if this will fit or work in my CDTV. So, for now I withdraw my interest.

Hi MKL,

I'd like to register my interest for 1 x ide68k.
Understand it will still be a few weeks until they're ready?

Cheers :)

Price update at front post.

Blank V402 PCBs for sale. No extra CPLDs left for sale.

Also, I can take "pre-orders" of assembled V402 adapters that will ship in paid order. Price includes a resettable fuse (200 mA or so) for the IDE-header pin 20 supply that is for ide to cf adapters (and ide to SD card adapters). IDE-connector is "un-boxed" pin header, made from 44 positions of snap-of header and the 4 extra pins removed at the edges. The remaining plastic should add some support for inserting and extracting mating connectors.
I'm going PM to those previously interested.

Up to 9 units of cfide68k V297 (newly revised, similar to V296) should be complete soon, price 70 euros. These boards use screws instead of glue to support the CF-connector. IDE and CF DASP- signal connected together. Ide data-bus other half pull-up resistor network installed and a dual schottky diode for IOW- and IOR- for some kind of signal termination. It might clamp reflecting wave negative voltages and add a little of capacitive load. IDE header is black with walls and 22-pin clock-port-wannabe-connector moved a little bit left.

I've thought about hacking V402 board for 3.3 volt XC9572XL CPLD. +5V supply to circuit could be cut with knife and a small sot-23 3.3V regulator LM3480 place in some spot on the PCB. No fuse for (now 3.3V!) supply voltage for ide-header pin 20, because the regulator limits after 100 mA.

Purchasing an ide68k

Purchasing an ide68k

Hi mkl,

I would like to purchase an ide68k please.

Could you get in touch with me to see how to proceed ?

Thanks,

Franck

I'd like to have a IDE / CF drive in a A2000, is it possible with this under KS 1.3 or 2.04?

The FAQ mentions reservations for the 2000 , not sure what that means?

you need a new ks rom.

Amiga 2000 main boards vary and so a riser socket might be needed.
To clear other components on main board. (cf socket hits agnus or so.)

I'm interested in 1x ide68k for my A1000....any left?

Pls send me also the total (including postage to Slovenia, EU) to my PM...including your IBAN, SWIFT/BIC codes...

Thanks and brgds
