May i suggest to all those that have not publically expressed interest to please do? As long as they're members of these premises, it would be wise, and help feedback too

I will take picture of v401 with straight ide-connector (i've got five such completed at the moment)
At Seaside and Bastich: please send payment this week then i can ship on monday (this friday post office might be closed)

I have an Amiga 500 that I want to add a flash drive to it. Either CF or a IDE flash module, whichever is easier. I want to be able to close the case. What do you suggest?

Also what about the A1000. Which ones will work for adding one as well? Ready to order one.

PM sent for details.

I'm still very interested :-)

tomthul mentioned this in conjunction with his 4mb ram upgrade here: https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=12037&page=11

Any idea how is this going to work?
I really want an A500 with internal IDE->CF and 4mb of extra RAM.

Hi, I got a 2 MB ram / 44pin ide board for side slot from tomthul, will try it "asap" (on monday?)

Leaving +++++ feedback for Retrodave, Damiraga, thgill and twbrown for older transactions, and for Bastich and Jomor58 for the v401 board payments now.
I hope I've sorted out most 'pending' feedback. Please let me know if you are missing feedback.

Just to clarify will this fit on the a1000 ?

Either IDE or cf option would be handy..

Hi. V401 has one 40-pin ide connector, it can be used with IDE to CF adapter.
I don't have an Amiga 1000, but I looked at these photos,
http://www.amiga-hardware.com/download_photos/a1000mbrev6.jpg http://www.amiga-hardware.com/download_photos/a1000mbreva.jpg
and I'm in little doubt  if that metal shield piece could come in contact with the board. It's difficult to tell from photos.
Taking data from the PCB cad program I used,
the v401 board extends 0.325 inches (9 mm) to this direction measuring from the pins of the CPU (or centers of the PCB pads/drills for these pins) and the plastic edge of 40-pin connector a few mm more. The right angle pin-header a little bit more, but these pins could be bent "upward" to clear that metal shield.

Tom Thul's RAM and IDE board seems to work with V401 board.
The board I received from Tom is a version that plugs to the side slot, with 2 MB SRAM chip and 44-pin 2.0mm female ide-connector and ide-cf adapter. The IDE-part seems to be at base-address F20000, so it doesn't conflict with ide68k, which emulates A600's ide at base address DA0000. RAM is configured by the program "AutoAddRAM" that reads configuration from file MemoryList.AAR, memory is added from 400000 to 5FFFF8.

Thanks for testing it out Mkl :-)
Sounds promising that the cpu ram expansion with be compatible as well.
Cant wait to get my IDE68k v401 and a 4mb ram expansion when available.

The best of two worlds: a fully autoconfig IDE (Mika's IDE68k) and awesome Tom's 2/4Mb RAM plus a secondary IDE for removable devices!

No more need for IDEFix97 (you can use it, BTW, but it is not necessary at all!) and a pair of external CF on the same machine with a real HD (or a single CF) hooked to Mika's IDE68k for autoboot!

Power A1000/500/2000!!!!!!!!!!!! Go go go!

Jomor58, did you receive my PM reply? After I press "submit" button in PM form, the message doesn't appear in sent mail folder.
Your Amiga screen remains black with the adapter. You can check these things: bent cpu pins, adapter or cpu wrong way round in socket, all visibly ok, /int2 and /ovr wired to right places?
I can send a replacement board in priority letter post. I want the old one back but there's no hurry.

Ive just checked on my A1000, the distance from the CPU pins to the expansion shield is 9mm or 10mm (just)

so it should just fit?

I have replied to your PMs, sorry for the delay.
The mistake I made the first time, I did not to connect the int2 or ovr signals. Connecting them did not make any difference.
