Regarding the need of modifying the trapdoor:
Someone with molding skills should start creating and selling whole bottoms for the 1200 with raised feet and some sort of fan-holding cradle where the trapdoor used to be.

Anyways, can't wait until I get my hands on one of these!

I tried to get a quote for just modified trap door, they're not interested in such a small venture.

Tooling seems to cost far too much to make it a worth while venture.

We'll have to hack up our existing ones or just leave the little fella's off like I've done since I started running accelerators...
