ACATune - adding it to startup-sequence

It might be worth cleaning the cf card to have a complete fresh start. Ensure your cf card is connected to your pc.

On your pc type "diskpart" in the start prompt.
Then "List disk"
"Select disk n"
"Clean"
"Exit"

where n is your disk number. Ensure disk n is your cf card by cross checking its documented capacity. DO NOT CLEAN YOUR PC HD!

Once you've done this go into winuae as administrator, mount your cf in winuae by adding it as a hard-drive, partition your cf and set max transfers.
Quick format the partitions and then copy your system hdf to your primary bootable partition. Test in winuae to ensure it boots ok

Presumably your cf card is recognised on your pc? What make card is it and what size card is it. (Also just as an extra warning do not insert >2gb cf card into pcmcia amiga slot as increased risk of corrupting the card)

ah bomberman/dynablasters, at its best as a 5 player on the amiga. We used to play at uni, especially after the pub!

Yes Dynablaster on Amiga with 5 players is awesome! We played it here at my place on our little gettogether in March Last night it was Super Bomberman on the SNES though...

Any ideas what could be the cause?

Again winuae had no problems booting the CF-card(s) before I changed the MaxTransfer value. And if I set up the CF-card(s) without changing the MaxTransfer that won't work either now... I write card(s) because I have done this with 3 different cards.

I actually wrote 3 zeros the first few time as you wrote but it was the same... nothing happened in winuae... I only changed it after some others said that I should try with only 2.. I have just setup one of the other cards with 3 zeros just to be sure.

One is from Amigakit (Kingston) / 4GB

Set to UAE (by default) nothing happens

Set to IDE0 / IDE1

System boots up, but no sign of the CF-card

click on change drive type and then define new drive, make sure you are doing all this after you have changed Scsi device= uaehf device (I think you change that by right clicking and then info/properties)

But after I changed it to "SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=uaehf.device" I can't click on "change drive" (see photo)

oh ok i thought it looked still clear on the photo, make sure when you have added your hd and have the read/write checked. Let me link you to when i was doing this 6 months ago..

I changed it to "SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=uaehf.device" on the install3.1 adf and now I can see the CF-card on winuae

I tried a fresh install of CWB but still can't see the CF-card together with the System.hdf...... veractor:

Wait!! I think your system.hdf will be the resident dh0! So you cannot copy from dh0 to dh0... so it won't see your cf. Rename your primary bootable partition as dh1

Do not call it dh0, it will confuse wb. If you call it dh1 you will be able to find it in dopus and then copy system.hdf over to it. (I always call my primary bootable dh1 temporarily and change it over to DH0 at the end when its in the 1200.)

Don't forget to quick format your other empty partition (you may need to add more memory in winuae for this - just slide the memory bar over)

I think you should be sorted now
