Does a such service exist for accelerating card testing?.I will be off loading some cards in new year.My own models of computers weren't the most reliable for testing as they weren't hacked to allow to give proper power to the cards.I rather let and pay someone for their time who had a proper set up to do some rigorous testing and any service to be done if anything arised.

Stan Stachu100 does a lot of repairs and upgrades on various cards and really knows his stuff so he's fully equipped for the service you require.

Maybe you could work something out with him.

@Jack

I dont believe a dedicated service in just burn-in testing Amiga Cards, however I am sure theres a few who can help.

This will come down to both trust and price (also postage and insurance dont forget that)

How many cards/adapters are we talking about - it might be effcient to split them up into batches if you have that many that way -

1. you can do a little at a time as funds allow
2. you can do the whole lot in one go over a number of testers***
3. those adapters tested, if its your plan to resale you can build up funds for more testing

***this would require a standard testing regime to be shared across the testers

but seriously.... how many cards / hardware items are you talking about?

@zetr0-Yes hope for resale in the new year, happy for rigid test, have two cards,an blizzard 030 and an apollo 040,both cards are cosmically fine with batteries removed when purchased,my own machines weren't modded to give both cards proper power so i often had resets or crash,i suspect this was due to sitting in a cramped case with a floppy drive drawing vital power, and my mb revision,i be happy to pay for the service and time :)

Are you drooling?;)

LOL ..

no.... I may have a few more than most people ;)

I tell you what Jack, since its christmass and you only have two cards - if you can hang on till January I will test them for you free of charge!

All I ask is you cover return postage - which will be about £8 next-day-delivery - insured upto £500 (in the UK, the emerald isle might be few more pennies)

I have a couple of motherboards to finish off first and thats this week taken up - and then its crimbo week and I think I need a holiday =D

so if you can hang on till Jan, I will help you out =)

Zetr0.Thats no problem i understand i had jan in mind anyways as postage will be stopping soon here anyway :).And i rather like to pay for your good time giving your expertise and time :).
