I wear my Geek badge proudly! People sometimes say I'm odd, but I just take it as a compliment because I'm just being myself. :)

start seriously learning machine language on the 64
I may pick up some programming as well. It's a fun system for writing software.

I too am proud to be a geek :D

as far as programming goes I have always wanted to learn the 64 so I am going to give it a try.

Jut received my DVD's from Dan. All scans of every magazine out there for C64 and Amiga. 35 DVD's for the C64 and 18 for the Amiga. Just finished labeling em all lol. They have a lot of good scans of programming books on one of the DVD's as well.

If you need a book scan Heather I will more than be happy to send you a pdf

I plan on sorting thru more of the warehouse, and getting stuff distributed to all you great people.. Maybe start diving more into my amiga and c=pets, and get this office cleaned and organized, gotta decide which systems I should keep out and what I shouldnt keep up

Finish clearing out a shed full of old TRS-80's, tandy machines, commodore 64s and other assorted vintage computer goodies and transform into into my office. Get this Apple II in working order to.

Oh, and finally hunt down a Amiga.

Tidy and paint my house, tidy through all my computers and set up a few systems.
Otherwise just take it a day at a time and do what I can... depression sucks at times but as long as doggies are seen to and well exercised/fed/brushed not a lot else needs to be worried about.

Oh, and maybe attend some sort of social event, who know, even possibly meet some folks off of here? we shall see.

Also gotta get playing with my rework station, I wanna get into recapping all my miggies, when cash allows...

Oh, and do my best to bring others around me a little happiness however I am capable of doing so,

Plans for next year... Our first baby is due in May, so getting the room ready. Buying cot, decorate room etc.

Redecorate the whole house as we have been renting the spare room to international students over the past few years and they don't care about bashing and scraping walls, so it all needs repainting.

Downsizing my retro collection to make enough room for said baby.

Continue to attempt to train my wife how to keep our bedroom tidy for more than one day! ;-)

Finally clear out shed so actually get in beyond the doorway, so the cats can catch the mice living in there. And talking of cats, find as way to stop them using my vegetable patch as a litter tray!

Find out cheapest way to convert loft into new Man cave.

You are going to be just like me with very little space in the corner of the living room before long. Thats why i went and bought an ATX desktop case because i cant put it on the floor thanks to the kids messing about with it or they love to jam stuff into the drives hence i have drive locks and programs to stop them.

Yeah, C64's a great machine to learn on - it's got a bunch of cool features, but it's also a nice cozy environment where you don't have to worry about making the OS angry or dealing with other programs or anything.

+1 to that. Nothing wrong with being a bit odd, normal is boring. :p

The most interesting and talented people in history can all be described as a little eccesntric. lol.

Let's see:

Get a game finished for next year's DreamBuildPlay Challenge.
Get something published for Windows Phone and Android.
Clear out the garage so I can set up some benches for my retro gaming stuff - and to try and get 1million points in Dropzone again.
Raise £2,500 towards our mortgage fund.

How To Finish Up In A Job

How To Finish Up In A Job

Update!
Drat! I didnt get that job I was chasing, which means a crap Christmas for me

However, I do have a cunning plan for my last day in my soon to finish present job. I am gonna take in one of my 1200s, a modded Xbox and a PS1 and set them all up in one of the vacant offices.

Well if I am going to finish that day anyway, I might as well go out with a smile. The rest of the office are already fighting over who gets first go on the Miggy!

sorry to hear that Geraldine at least you will have some play time over xmas and good job hunting next year

My aims for next year are:-

1. build some decent shelving for my connection, so that I can keep most of my machines set up ready to go.

2. Learn to use BBC machines properly, by learning BBC Basic.

3. Take some time off in November from work and clear my diary, so I can attend Replay in Blackpool in 2012.
