Declaring interest for these:

3/ Adapter (metal coated case and 23pin conn) + Switch for selecting H/V or C-Sync - 16 € (Why you might need C-Sync? Check this)

6/ Cable (23pin conn and metal coated case) with integrated Sync Inverter like Commodore VGA Adapter - 22,5 €

Questions:

The adapter is the same as the cable right? But the cable had basically the vga cable build in whereas with the adapter you just need to connect a VGA cable at the end right?

The adapter above (3) has the switch for selecting H/V or C-Sync (bigger screen). Does the cable have a switch like this to select sync? I really would like to fill the screen as much as possible.

Thanks

Hi DaytimeDreamer and thanks for your interest.
Regarding your questions: adapter with sync switch allows you to have bigger screen on BenQ in csync mode, for more info check my detailed explanation.
Cables are completly modified so you only connect one end to Amiga and the other to monitor and that is all.
For BenQ 912 or 702A you do not need sync inverter, direct connect is ok.
Cables do not have switch integrated, because there is less space in the 23pin case, so it would be quite hard work and time consuming task. But I can modify cable for either c-sync or h/v sync if needed.

For a BenQ 702A would it be better to have a c-sync or a h/v sync in order to have a larger area of the screen covered? I know the cables work out of the box but do they fill the whole screen?

Yes, for BenQ 702A you can have larger area covered with c-sync. But c-sync also have some disadvantages - monitor loose the settings every time you reset amiga, so you need to setup monitor again, as i wrote in that thread.
I normaly wire the cables for h/v sync only, but if you want I can make you one wired for c-sync.
Or just try with the adapter option 3 and if you like it you can decide for cable later.

I think the best option then is to go with an adapter and just attach a VGA cable at the end and afterwards I can order a cable depending to what I like best.
