Does it means Amiga simply hangs at startup or it simply boots and you dont see the picture? With BenQ monitors there is no such problem.
According to this discussion and also some previous posts here in the thread your monitor may require buffered adapter to work correct from the start.
You have the same monitor as daleblazer, he says it works for him on A500 with wired adapter so dont forget to try on your other Amigas too.

GREAT NEWS!

everything works perfectly on a1200 with WHLOAD and CF card. i attached few photos. However, it won't work on a2000 with gotek. could be i need buffered connector but never the less, i prefer a1200. for a2000 i can use CRT :). won't bother myself with this problem.

Great for letting me know, and congrats for such a good picture. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Can you please try to see how interlaced modes work on your NEC monitor? It would be great to know if monitor can do also deinterlacing.

BenQ BL702A (tested by me and many others)
BenQ BL912 (tested by me)

Hi there, I am very interested in this adaptor. I can't find either of these monitors available in Australia but I can get a hold of a BenQ BL902TM locally. I'm reading conflicting reports online as to whether this model will work. There have been a few reviews on Amazon.com from Amiga owners saying that it works fine but then hearing it doesn't work in other threads.

Is anybody able to confirm?

If you do not have the buffered (sync strainer) adapter, then you have to start your Amiga with the monitor unplugged. Your symptoms will be that the Amiga will not even try to boot, but if unplugged then it will boot, and once started you can plug your monitor back in. This however is not a good long term solution. However, It should work on the A500 regardless. BenQ and a few other monitors do not make the Amiga think there is a genlock condition so they do not require buffers. I think some of the older multisync monitors also had to have the buffered adapter. Maybe we can start another thread for this, I have modified quite a few adapters and cables with a capacitor and IC.

@ daleblazer: Thanks for all your input. Yes I understand well, and the buffered scheme is clear enough. There also already is a separate thread mentioned before.
@ CrashMidnick: PM sent.
@ Nifmus: Your adapters sent today. Tracking in PM.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but if I were to use this for NTSC Amigas, does the monitor need the same mode?

I test only on PAL Amiga, but if I start the NTSC driver in Workbench BenQ BL702A / BL912 run the NTSC screenmodes fine.
