I abandoned selling adapters in plastic case, metallized case adapters still for sale and now for a slightly better price.

I have the same vertical bars with my Commodore adapter.

I have just purchased the non-buffered adapter mentioned in this thread and hope it will provide better results.

Hello. I bought 2 x NEC 1970NXp and i have a Commodore branded RGB to VGA adapter. I get these bars running vertically down the screen when using my Amiga 500. Is this adapter different? Is it just a copy of the Commodore branded one of is there some other magic components in it? If so I would be interested in grabbing one. The Adapter I have looks like below.

Hello, first post! I just got back into the Amiga hardware scene after many years of regret from selling my Amiga 1200. I bought one of these adapters and found that it works well with the Acer H236HL monitor. I had tried it unsuccessfully on several displays around the house and was thinking that it was a lost cause. Then I plugged it into this Acer monitor, which is the primary display for my gaming PC, and it worked flawlessly. It is stretched a bit because widescreen, but I can live with that. Looks like my new A2000 is going to be my monitor stand!

Please confirm it's the "chipless" version. I have an NEC 1770NX which is said to handle 15 kHz. A friend of mine uses 2 of them without problems. My adapter turned out to have a 74HCT14D inside and seems to be unusable. Nothing is visible below 31 kHz and even at higher frequencies picture is distorted.
I would give a simple passthru version a try.
