Dear All,

first time since a loooong time some playtime :)
Tried the //e before (unsuccesfully) with adtpro.
Now i happened to have a laptop without mic input jack, so at first i thought i was doomed again.
Clicked around a bit on the sweet&sour interwebz, stumbled onto http://asciiexpress.net/gameserver/ , which promised and delivered :)
Yeeehhhaw i now know for a fact that the //e works :)
Still don't know if the floppydrives are ok, since i dont have any floppybased software to test them with :(
Ah well, sofar, so good :)

Grtz, PymerOne.

nice.

atdpro... do you have a super serial card? I had some 1st-hand ezperience making it work today, it works fine now.. maybe I can help? what fails?

Dear Iainjh,

Problem was me (and a broken microphone port on my old laptop).
Now i have a new-ish laptop, after reading&obeying the advised settings on ADTPro i have a working audio connection...
Transfered about a dozen disks (prodos, dos3.3, ADTPro bootdisk and a few games) from pc to Apple.
No superserial card in this machine, just some funny old serial interface to a medical scanner/spectrometer/thingemagic.
At the moment im very happy with the fact that it works...no much need for speed :)

Grtz, pymerOne.

one of the reasons i picked up a couple of Apple IIGSs is that they have a built in serial port (and also run 95% of Apple II stuff)

and picked up a PC 9pin serial <-> 8-pin (apple) modem serial cable (115kbps, about 19secs to xfer a disk)
