Hi,

I have a Apollo 1240 wich I want to concert to 1260.
I already have a MC68EC060RC66 with the matching socket. I still need to get the rest. The voltage converter, a cristal and a socket for the cristal.
Tell me if I need something else.

Cheers

have a chat with cosmos and stachu100, they will have all the bits im sure

Most important thing, you need to check the revision of your Mach chip, you need 131, Mach 130 is no good for 060 :thumbsdown:

Also ditch the 060 you have: an EC unit is not good for Amigas.

Dam'n, I think your right. They can be usable, but it wouldn't be worth the trouble: http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?p=306117 .
I simply didn't know the difference.
I still want to upgrade though. :lol:
From now on a better 060 is welcome too.

Believe me: even an earlier mask 01F43Gsomething will be good enough if you don't overclock.

And they are CHEAPER.

mask? 01F43G? Where is this about?

The 'mask' indicates which die is used to create the CPU. In this case, mask number 01F43G was used and it is stamped in the top right corner of the CPU for future reference.

Die = pattern or template

The CPU mask does not effect the operation of anything.
