Heh, "R.F. Modulator"? Er I think not, gimme VGA b***h!

Epic work though as per usual, got to be one of the very finest 600's in the world. :thumbsup:

Did you lock it in place with the little screws ?
Can't see them on your pictures...

For sure it looks great !

I bought 2 of these myself, one for the 600 (I have the Indivision :whistle:), and one for the 1200 ( I don't have the Indivision, I wait for the revision 2 :coffee: ... and don't even have the 1200D yet !! :lol:)

Many thanks guys :)

@Rakeim132:

Yes mate, the screws are there, they just use some extra holes that aren't as visible as the metal-plated ones - if you enlarge the 2nd picture you can see them :)

New kit for the pocket rocket! :lol:

Here's my new A604, which offers pretty much the same functionality as the A603 - just smaller and has the Indivision socket moved back and angled so that it no longer conflicts with the floppy drive. It also has an extra clockport on a riser card. Another beautiful piece of engineering from Individual!

Today I also received the Indivision ECS itself, which gets stacked on top of the A604 and coupled with kipper2k's PCB mount VGA socket:

And wow, the picture is stunning! (although my phone camera's not doing much justice :P) This is my A4000's monitor:

It's nice being able to work in ProTracker and other programs in 60Hz, it's easier on the eyes, and the option to go back to 50Hz for smooth scrolling works perfectly! :D I have a (hopefully) nice 2nd hand Eizo TFT monitor on the way which supports 50Hz, so when it arrives I'll do a quick review of that. :)

This A600 turbo's definitely the most fun I've had on an Amiga in a long time, it's a blast to use and play with :)

Nice work Mr Fish, lovin' the backdrop too :thumbsup:

Thanks guys :D

Wow, yes - definitely a twin sister! :grouphug: Very nice machine you have too, Marios :)

I think most of the hate towards the A600 is to do with how long it's been such an unexpandable computer, but these new developments in the last few years has enabled it to become a tiny, powerful productivity and games machine :) It certainly is a unique computer - I think the release of these new accelerators and add-ons has won a few hearts for the A600 - it certainly won mine! :inlove:

Beautiful job, well done :)

Also really love the VGA adapter, what a great piece of work :)

I own a 603, but couldn't resist a 604 as well, as much as I have total respect for the 603 Indivision adapters people have made, I just felt like supporting Individual Computers in producing some more A600 kit :cool: I guess I am hoping Jen's has some more trick hardware for the A600 yet up his sleeve!:D

Did you replace any of the capacitors on your A600 mother board to give it a refresh?

Hi m8, do you find the ide to cf adapter you used better than the standard or could I rest the adapter on top of the 630 heatsink?

Excellent work Dale. I can't think there's anything more to do unless Jens has something else for the humble 600. :)

Did you replace any of the capacitors on your A600 mother board to give it a refresh?
Not to wish to intrude and speak for the guy but I can tell you personally that he has and a very high quality job it was too.

Thanks ad-rs1600i!

Yes, I replaced all the caps on the motherboard - there was nothing visibly wrong with the originals and the board functioned 100%, but I did them regardless as after all, it's a 1991 computer and I wanted to ensure it stayed working :)

On the first page are some photos showing a cluster of capacitors near the PSU socket, if you zoom in you can see the newly-soldered capacitors.

@Groooover:
I haven't actually tried a regular CF/IDE adaptor but apprently the holes on top of the ACA630 are meant to fit the pattern of some of these adaptors :) Nevertheless the angle-adaptor I have that Mika makes is a nice, quality adaptor and works perfectly! I really like things that take a minimalistic and clean approach :)

@tokyoracer:
Many thanks for the compliments as always mate - if stuff continues to be made for the A600 I'll always be thinking of this machine :)

I am now in posession of my new LCD monitor to use on the Indivision! :D
When I get back home I'll add some pictures of the new screen - it's brilliant!

(I'm away from home at the moment, about to have dinner with my friend who has managed to solve a huge electrical problem with my car that it's had for over 2 weeks, so we're gonna celebrate a bit :D)

Cheers! :thumbsup:

Cool - thanks for that, I think I will get my A600's replaced before I build mine up as once the ACA630 is fitted, I don't actually want to take it off again..! Incidentally mine seems 100% as well!

Thanks again, and keep the pictures coming :thumbsup:
