Notice how 3Dtv has all but vanished from the shops? 4K is the only buzz word now.
3D will only ever be a fad simply because you need to wear those headsets and families do not want to sit around a TV with those on. Same as I think VR gaming will never be huge as it's too solitary.

They still do have 3dx tvs and in 4k sets but still loads to get

The Fluke 287/289 is a seriously good meter. I have a 289 and it's definitely my favourite meter.
Thanks Bryce! It's good to know I picked a winner.

Drunk is a great thing to get for the holidays! :P

not yet, but I've got a bunch of stuff on order (xmas money, GST rebate...and apparently as of this year low-income people like myself will start receiving 'carbon tax' rebates (looked this up - gonna be $200 for 2017 and 300 for 2018 - ah well, more game-money :p))

Imperial Assault - Jabba's Realm, Jabba, Jedi Luke, Captain Terro (on Dewback), Bantha Riders x2
X-Wing - Mist Hunter, Inquisitor TIE, Protectorate Starfighter x2, ARC-170
Car Wars: The Card Game
Blood Bowl (new version) + Skavenblight Scramblers Team

I'll post photos when they arrive, as per usual.

It's very true. My Christmas Toblerone was the new kind with big gaps.

Part 1 of the Christmas haul (christmas money + some government rebates (GST = our VAT + the new carbon tax rebate), as I received a bit more money than I was anticipating I also ordered a few games out of the 'clearance' sections that I had looked at previously but hadn't bothered to get, so there's a part 2 coming yet :) (8 more games that were $150USD total rather than the 'normal' price of $280 (and nearly $400 MSRP) + Car Wars card game, which hasn't showed up yet)

Blood Bowl - 2016 Edition (1 human (12) + 1 orc (12) team) (also plenty of dice this time around, which I liked, 2 sets of proper block dice, which I never had with my previous sets)
Skavenblight Scramblers - Skaven Team (12) (ratmen) (if you buy these be extremely careful cutting them off their plastic frames, at their narrowest the tails are as thin as the join to the frame and they may snap - I broke 2 tail ends off)

Imperial Assault

Jabba's Realm - 3 Heros, 1 large Rancor, 4x Jet Troopers, 4x Weequay Pirates, 4x Gamorrean Guards + tiles for Jabba's hideout, desert skirmishes and the Sarlacc pit.
Jabba the Hutt - Vile Gangster
Captain Terro - Wasteland Enforcer (on Dewback)
Bantha Rider villain pack x2
Luke Skywalker - Jedi Knight

X-Wing

Mist Hunter (Zuckuss & 4-LOM)
ARC-170 starfighter
Inquisitor's TIE
Protectorate Starfighter x2

nearly caught up on both of these (well, at least the figs that I wanted to get anyhow, there's a few that I don't really care about) - although I just realized I forgot to order the Heroes of the Resistance expansion for X-Wing (Millennium Falcon variant + Poe Dameron's T-70 X-Wing)

all in all, everything shown here only wound up being about $130 out of my own pocket, which was really nice :)

well, I guess it is (was) that time again, stayed home on my own this Christmas time (Brother and family were in Japan over Christmas), didn't much feel like going back to BC since I'd just been there in October...

as a result, I got a bit more Christmas money this year, and decided to use it to get a bit more organised, with a couple of IKEA shelving units...

1- 4x4 Kallax unit
1- 4x2 Kallax unit
4- cupboard inserts
4- drawer (x2) inserts

also

1- Sauder media stand

I also just ordered some Ikea shelving. I looked around for higher quality furniture but I couldn't find anything that was as functional as the Ikea shelving. It will be delivered in a couple weeks.
