EDIT: After speaking to our guy, apparently I'm mistaken. lol. The new MD everdrives still need a MegaCD for MCD games.

I'd like to put my name down for an Everdrive 64 but I need mine to be with a 6102 CIC chip as I have an NTSC N64. I presume the people who have already put their names down on the list are requiring a 7101 CIC chip for a PAL N64? I guess you'll need to make this clear when you finally place the orders.

Also, if possible, I'd like the optional USB connector added on to my Everdrive as it will come in useful for N64 development work. Will this be possible without disrupting the group order? It's $15 extra for the USB connector which I'd be happy to pay.

So to summarise, I'd like an Everdrive 64 + 6102 CIC + optional USB connector.

I presume these are are v2 Everdrives that are being ordered?

Theyre all the latest revisions of their respective item. I should be able to request a USB port one no problem. But I'm unsure how the region works on these... Can anyone shed some light on this?

(it's correct that last digit of first two PAL CIC's is swapped compared to NTSC CIC's!)

PAL compatible Everdrive 64 will come with a 7101 CIC and NTSC compatible Everdrive 64 will come with a 6102 CIC.

As far as I understand it, NTSC N64 card will only boot with an NTSC CIC chip and PAL N64 will only boot with PAL CIC chip. You can desolder the PAL CIC chip and solder in an NTSC CIC chip to use it in an NTSC system and vice versa.

If you can get me an Everdrive with USB connector that'd be great. Let me know how much and I'll sort out the payment.

Mega Everdrives are NOT available as part of this group buy. This is direct from krikzz himself. He does not have enough of them to support us or a discount at the moment.

Given were getting the standard ones at the discount we are though, I dont think we can complain

Well I've emailed him about the region issue. If he can't offer an NTSC solution I will order you one without a CIC so you can find one

That's great. I've got plenty of NTSC donor carts here which I can remove the 6102 CIC chip from and solder on to the Everdrive myself if krikzz doesn't have any available. The USB connector however would definitely be handy....

Although given proper design, it may not be completely impossible, but we'd likely be talking of getting much beefier hardware then these carts will ever support on them. But for a moment there I believed it may have been done xD

I think if krikzz wants to, he could make an SD/CF/IDE/whatever adapter that locks onto the expansion port of the Megadrive and emulates a MegaCD.
