I've been away from the site from some time now (understatement alert) and finally I feel that it's time to return to the site. I have some plans to get some of my neglected machines out of storage, give them a re-cap and some parts as needed and get them working again. Retro Rick has awakened my interest again and I'll be adding some solid state items to my machines. To start off, I have two ZX Spectrums (a 48K and a 48K+) that are getting re-capped and having new keyoard membranes fitted thanks to a Christmas present from my son Ian. I'll be testing and reviewing a ZXduino solid state SD card tape drive to transfer games on both machines. I'll also be re-capping some BBC machines, a Model B and a Master 128 and trying out an MMC solid state SD card interface on these machines too.

Stay tuned...:)

I've also got hold of a flyback transformer so I can finally repair a broken Philips CM8833 Mk.2 that died on me. There's also a Microvitec Cub monitor that suffered field collapse that I have to diagnose. I've enough to keep me busy for now.

about bloody time if you ask me!
welcome back Dave!!

Thanks guys, it's much appreciated. Even though I haven't been around, I've been picking up the domain registration costs anyway. :)

It's been 12 years since we set up AmiBay now, it's lasted 2 years more than Amibench did. Time flies...

so if your back are you loosing the "VIP" for something more fitting to your law giver ???

As per normal if you post the details in the normal area or PM them to me I'll send you some pennies :)

Back to Admin status when Merly feels he is ready, that was always the intention :)

Welcome back my old friend ;)

if you get stuck fixing the monitors, ill have a look at them, you probably wont have trouble from the philips mind you if you know the flyback failed
