I've got Frodo installed on my Nexus and I'd like to put some .d64s in a folder created under Frodo folder. How can you create folders in the Nexus? Do you need a file manager app or something to do that?

Ive been having fun with a custom 3.9 (including custom KS) setup on my nexus 7 using P-UAE.

Last night however P-UAE just stopped working and I cant seem to get it working again, :(.

Speed was good using gnostics unreleased test build.
Was giving something like 363MHz and 12MIPS. Just need picasso working now, :).

Nexus 7

Hi Guys n Gals, been a long time but i'm back also got myself a Nexus 7 (32gb) too enjoying it so far :)

really came for some Pc advice but i'll put that in another place :D

I never had an Android 3 tablet so I cant say but I had 2.3 on my phones and 4.1 is a whole world better than that.

I second that. going from 2.3 on my phone to 4.0 on my tablet was the most major os update i've done in ages given how it changed the feel of the device.

Totally agree. 2.3 was OK but far from perfect. 4.1 (4.2 now on Nexus 7) is IMO the first version of Android that feels complete and a finished OS. In fact it felt like a big improvement over even 4.0, which my wife had on her Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 until that recently also got the update to 4.1. It really is nice to use and so smooth and fluid.

Android 4.4 Kitkat is now available for Nexus.

Got mine yesterday. Not impressed with the new email client, absolutely hate it
Also dont like the grey battery and wifi symbols, I preferred the blue ones. And the old Google keyboard with the blue pop ups.

Other than the blue icons becoming grey in the menu bar, I didn't notice any difference.

I don't use the standard keyboard anyway; Instead using the Swype keyboard as I find it loads better for predictive text and Swyping is much faster. Love Swype typing.

I've heard that on smartphones Google have done away with the separate text app and you have to now use Google+ hangouts so your text appear jumbled in with all your other messages, which could get annoying.

not done mine yet but will have a look to see if its worth upgrading

Im just glad to get the updates with the nexus :) My first xoom got one update and my samsung note 10.1 is still on 4.1.2 which I thought samsung would have done better at getting newer updates out.

I like the frequent updates on Nexus devices too.
Samsung need to work on their quality control however. My S4 got the 4.3 update and its randomly rebooting now  Im going to factory reset it (which Im very annoyed at) and then see if it still does it. If not Im taking the bloody thing back
I may get a Sony Z1 if they dont straight swap it for me.

im still on 4.2.2 on my s4 but dont need it updating its fine

i use a.i.type for my keyboard ans go sms on my s4 for txts

My wife has had a few Samsung smartphones and they are a nightmare with their updates. They are very slow to actually release them, mostly because their customisation of Android is so extensive it takes them a long time to alter each new release before they can send it out to their devices.

But I've also had no end of nightmares getting some to actually perform the updates. The original Galaxy S was the worst as it would connect to the PC for the update, then the software would lose all contact and refuse to see it again. Her Tab 2 tablet hasn't been as bad, but does suffer a refusal to turn one if it goes too flat.

Sony smartphones by contrast have been brilliant for me and I've enjoyed owning them all. In contrast to Samsung their updates just work. No fiddling around with software, just wait to be informed an update is available and click the update button. Nearly identical to vanilla Android.

But I do also love the Nexus devices and the access to every update just a couple of days after release. It makes you feel like you finally purchased the right device. In this day and age a 2 year old tablet by any other maker wouldn't be seeing any new OS updates any more.

It is sad with Samsung because on the whole their hardware has been impressive. Just not their software instability and update structure.

Especially when we pay a lot of money for these things! When samsung is supposed to be the main rival to apple and wants you business but I think we get easily forgotten about and they just concentrate on there next hardware. I still use an iphone 3gs which for the first few years had all the updates. I'll definitely rethink the next time I buy another tablet.

I can see that, my note 10.1 may not necessarily need an update but what I would like to from a company which is trying to be the best is when say 4.4 comes out they go great now we can add this add that and give us 4.4 plus ;) making us feel like we made the best choice in buying into samsung!
