I lost my thumb drive for my Gotek and need to setup a new one but I cannot remember how I did it before as it was about a year ago when I initially set it up.

I am not sure where to get the HXCSDFE.CFG or SECTOR.ADF or whatever is used today. I know the drive I replaced with a one with a bigger screen and dial as my aging eyes were having trouble with the smaller screen.

Thanks,

As far as I am aware you don’t use those files anymore. Just a FAT32 formatted thumb drive. Gotek now use Flash Floppy firmware. The firmware can be easily upgraded by a file on the thumb drive and holding and pressing the 2 select buttons on power up to upgrade in seconds.

Info here:

Yep, all you need is a FAT32 formatted USB stick and a copy of the FF.cfg file (fully commented here on what bits do what) which you can get form the github page for Flashfloppy (see above) or create your own.
