Guys on my GVP 3001 series II.. There is a AT IDE connector. I was wondering... Should I use it or just fit my Buddha card, or could I just connect a CD drive to the GVP 3001, as a secondary IDE device..

Oh, the ROM is v3.3 (Was v3.0)...

The interface on the A3001 was from the period where the AT-IDE spec was still in flux. The final changes were made by the consortium, and in the end the timing in the card's hardware was off with no good way to correct it. There's exactly 2 Quantum (40/80MB), 2 Conner (40/80MB), one Seagate(42MB), and one Maxtor drive model (200M) that I know works on the interface. All are probably rare to find today, if functional (I have a Quantum 40AT). Use an alternative interface.

IDE CD was never tried (wasn't established that I recall - everyone used proprietary PC interface cards or SCSI at the time) and will probably fail for the same reasons.
