Scones are nothing like cookies and frozen or packet scones are also nothing like the real thing. You really need to look the receipt up online and make some to see what they really are, or have a visit to England and go to Devon/Cornwall to try some of the best. The Isle of Wight also have some great Cream Tea places too.

Some sugar in your diet is just as important as none. Certain sugars help break down carbohydrates & some fats. It's all a balance really.

A good scone gets it's sweetness from the fruit (e.g. currants) added and doesn't need any added sugar.

I really had no idea there is a difference between the two. Over here, we say Scone (Skown) and I guess those are what I'm talking about, i'm really not an expert in food, except eating it!
