No RGB A1200 fixed.

Ive had a 1200 board with flakey RGB for a long time and no composite has packed up too.

I've spent an hour checking voltages and OMHs and shorts / general damage but nothing seem to stand out any.

So as a last resort I've recapped the board - they were leaking anyway and I've change the 74HCT , why you may ask did i change this ? well after the old girl had been on for an hour , i touched this with the back on hand an in a scene similar to raiders of the lost ark - i had a pink burn mark on me ( slight exaggeration) but anyway she was hot.

now all is well. So if your looking for an RGB fault just check the 74hct - i should of got some measurements before i removed it ....but i didn't.

Excellent work again mike, I too was looking at an A1200 not long ago and like you I was `Fingering` components for heat and then I touched the `47R` by the U12 and I had my little digit under the tap for 15 mins and had a oblong mark on my finger for days LoL, the `47R` had shorted

I'm neither wise nor clever , just observation really. I'm a mechanical engineer ....not electronic. there are some clever folk on here
