Incidentally, does anyone know if the stock A500 PSU will struggle to run this setup, should I hack a PC psu for the job?

You should be OK, I was running my A1200 with Blizzard 1230-IV from a stock A500 PSU until recently without problem. Until it started noticeably whining and buzzing, but that was probably due to age combined with heavy use.

I would get a hacked PC PSU anyway, your A500 PSU will go the same way as mine eventually.

Today I received a set of credit card-style plastic AR Cards for my 3DS. I love doing 3D and AR photography, but have been skipping the latter lately because I expect my original cardboard AR Cards will get damaged in my bag. Found these, ordered them...

... And then I put a bunch of characters on my keyboard.

Received a Spectrum 16k today from exilent. Thanks!

I found a pc tower and monitor at the side of the road last night. Took the tower home along with the still attached AT keyboard and serial mouse.

Booted up on first go to Windows 95. It's an AMD K6 CPU 266mhz I think. 2gb hard drive and complete with a 16X CDROM drive, ZIP250 Zip drive and Sound Blaster Vibra 16.

awesome i could never affoard a zip drive back in the day thats a good dos build.

I just unpacked this AV2HDMI converter.
Although it's only $ from Aliexpress, it is great. And the exact same unit is sold on eBay.de for €****+shipping by DHL from Germany to EU. Doesn't make any sense.
The TV is branded Logik, 19", 720p. Low quality, but lets me choose preferred aspect mode.

Nice mate. As said that's a real nice dos machine, I sold my V2 SLI K6 500 a while back :( I've got a few 4mb Voodoo1s I've got to test if you're interested soon. It's funny how things land in your lap. I picked up what I thought was just going to be a "beige case with 7 slots" from freecycle yesterday for my Windows 98 build, and it's got an MSI KT3 Ultra, 1.3ghz Athlon, 512 ram, an SBLive with a Live Drive II in it! It's a nicer spec than the mobo I actually paid for!

i have been known to actually jump into skips to get pieces of hardware:lol:
i forget who it was i told about it,i was on the way back from a job out of town,it was a 500+ a haul of games and a monitor! and loads of other stuff for it.
the 500+ needed a bit of work but it all worked after.
(yes i did knock the door as it was on someones property, they thought i was a tat man at first:lol:)

it was pure luck i spotted it,the skip was going to be taken away the next day.
the person even offered me a cuppa and help load my van after a short chat! yes there was that much gear..

I've actually had it a couple of weeks now from Fitsteve but BluesBrothers MDII PSU turned up today so I finally got to play it for the first time about an hour ago
