Might be able to help with a working (tape or disk) drive for your Ataris, SaviorX.
Let me know if you're in the hunt for one...mind, postage to Canada could be a tad steep...
Cheers and enjoy that collection!

wouldn't mind, but unfortunately with overseas shipping and exchange rates it quickly turns into a small fortune.

thank you for the offer, though.

Just got this sealed box from a fellow collector who received an entire case of them.

I also picked this up and it came with the envelopes for the included software. SaviorX used image files to produce copies of the setup disks for me. I'm considering steaming the labels off these envelopes and placing them on the disks he made.

I've always liked the TI-99, I have 2 myself (one in orig. box), never did get a tape drive for them though....but I have a few carts anyways. (also lacking a working drive for my Atari 600XL and 800XL)...my best friend got one, I think for Christmas '81 (might have been his b/d in '82)...to that point I'd only ever seen the VIC20 and the Apple IIs our school had gotten, so it was absolutely fantastic. (the C64 didn't exist yet)

took a run down to the thrift shops down south yesterday (NE on wed.)...a few bits and pieces, but nothing very exciting...

Magic the Gathering Starter Gift Set (WotC, 1999) (Starter 1999) (appears to be complete, with a few extra cards as well, hardly played) - had a better look through this one, entirely complete + 2 additional starter decks (Blinding Fury (white) & Impaler (green)) + 3 opened boosters (15+15+8 ) + some cards that were either bought or given (quite well used) about 275-280 cards all told. (addtionally about 40 sleeves that someones 'play-deck' is in + 10 extra blue scoring beads)
2 issues of CARtoons magazine from 1991
a few Transformers toys from the newer movies (2007ish) (Wreckage, Blackout, Star Scream, Mudflap & Overcast)
a few Star Wars Action Fleet ships (1995) (2x A-Wings, Snowspeeder, B-Wing (missing 1 foil unfortunately))
Logitech MX-5500 bluetooth keyboard (tested working with my smartphone and the Frodo C64 emulator )
Pelouze model 5055 rate programmable digital postage scale (+power adapter)

We play Magic with the the brother in law and his wife (and try and sneak a game of Warcraft II while we are there, dosbox's ipx tunneling works surprisingly well).

I got these last year, above my expertise im still a huge novice.

Been looking for GTA V for a while but thought that it was too expensive and was waiting for a decent sale on it. Now there's an electronics chain here that are closing most of their shops and they are selling out their stock at increased discounts every week. It started at 10%, the week after 20% and so on (you probably get the idea). This week they are giving 50% on everything and they still had some GTA V (PC) retail left, so I thought that now was a good time to snatch one. :) I'm not sure there'll be any left for next week's 60% sale.

I haven't been playing MtG all that long, a cousin and her husband got me into it about 2 christmasses ago (after receiving 5 free starter decks, 1 for each color, when we went down a nearby gaming shop, was able to throw together a decent red/black play deck)

I had managed to avoid it for 20 years :p (MtG always looked like the ultimate money-sink to me...but then, most games have become money-sinks these days...whether you have to buy your games piece by piece, deck by deck or just endless expansions)

although, I had actually been playing CCGs/TCGs for nearly 20 years, I have a ton of Illuminati: NWO cards, and also recently got a bunch of WoW cards (unopened boosters and packs of 25 random cards had been showing up in the dollar stores here...which probably says a lot about the game itself  ...as well as receiving a starter box from RuneRider....which was useful as i hadn't come across a ruleset yet)

I also play Legends of Norrath online, which is a CCG based on the EverQuest world.

I agree. I'm not even sure the $1,200 I sold my top fifteen cards for a few months ago actually covers what I spent in the early '90s.

back in the day I thought spending $90+tx on the deluxe set of Blood Bowl was a lot (plus you could buy player/team figures and there were a few expansions, so it COULD add up), but that was nothing to 'catching up' with Imperial Assault and X-Wing figures shortly after Christmas, which ran nearly $300... (thank fk for family that give cash/gift cards for Christmas )

and I am behind again, there were 4 more ships released just about a month or so ago...also Rebellion came out, which is a stand-alone game at least (though i wont be surprised if expansions are put out eventually)

2 of the 4 ships are ones i'd really like to get too....Punishing One (Dengar) and Mist Hunter (Zuckuss/4-LOM), to go with the previously released bounty hunter ships - Slave 1 (Boba Fett), Hound's Tooth (Bossk) and IG-2000 (IG-88 )(though, I wouldn't mind a couple of the Inquisitor's TIEs either)

I haven't even touched the Star Wars LCG yet, which must have at least 20 expansion decks by now.

aaaannd...just noticed...5 new expansions coming for Imperial Assault, including Lando, Bossk and a Bespin expansion (figs and tileset)

Yaaay - Finally managed to pick up one of these beauties. She's a stock 25/50 with a 68882 and 4MB of Fast Ram, bit of a sun tan but nothing some retrobright won't clean up. Has has a little battery damage but battery has been replaced and the mobo cleaned up but a little green remains so I'm going to have a go at cleaning it again.

I got this a few days ago. I am modding an old pc case to build a 1200 tower. Surprisingly 1200 pcb with accelerator inside the tower fits perfectly in height and length. All I have for this project is this pcb, accelerator and a converted 200w pc power supply. Still more stuff to buy..

Great 3000D!

Please try your best to neutralize the battery and remove it. One very humble other suggestion is to pickup GALS because they are cheap and will reduce heat.

Good luck and enjoy!

Sealed Amiga/Atari games....

Sealed Amiga/Atari games....

Hey,

I recently received a bunch of sealed Amiga and Atari games ....for free

games.jpg

never played the Shadow of the Beast games....unsure whether to open or keep em sealed

all i can say is the artwork is brilliant.
I was in Game today and all the box (well dvd cases) artwork are boring.

Some of the artwork was so good even if the game was below average it still looked great on the shelf :)

Thanks Mat, the battery is actually new and was replaced last year by the previous owner but I intend to further clean up the board and remove it. I'll take a look for a set of Gals - appreciate the advice. Had always wanted one of these so it's a bit new to me so I've been reading up and learning a lot.
