I love my Raspberry Pi. I have mine in a black acrylic case measuring only 3.5" x 2.5" x 1.75". With 256MB RAM and overclocked to 900Mhz CPU Core and 500MHz Memory @ stock voltage, this little thing packs alot of punch for such a small package.

I could push the voltage up a little to get 1GHz but I haven't bothered as of yet.

It is currently using a Class 10, 32GB SDHC card for storage.

Dlink makes a perfect matching 7port powered USB hub that looks great with the Pi.

For keyboards, these are the ones I like. The top setup is from a Motorola Atrix Cellphone Multimedia bundle. You can purchase the bluetooth keyboard and mouse as a package. Just search for Motorola Atrix Keyboard and you will find it on Amazon at very low cost.

The bottom one is my favourite portable keyboard and I use with all sorts of devices around the house. Its a RiiTek RT-MWK02. It is available in both bluetooth and wireless versions. Also available on Amazon for around $30.

I think this little computer is one of the best inventions. Super portable, highly adaptable and very affordable.

 Thought I'd missed out on something there!

It'd rock with 512mb! I really feel it needs it based on how it performs in different applications.

I picked up a wireless logitech keyboard with a unifying receiver for mine a good few weeks back and now I have a wireless keyboard and mouse using only 1 USB port, leaving the other free for a memory stick or something. It's really a fun bit of kit.

update?

update?

Just out of interest, is anyone else still hanging on for a RPi? I originally ordered from RS Components at the beginning of July, after they emailed me to say I could order. Then I got an apology email on 28th August, almost two months later, saying there'd been delays. A third month has gone by and nothing! So I called up and, well, have a look....

Just to recap:

Registered interest 21st May
Contacted to say I can order: 29th June
Ordered: 6th July
Contacted to say sorry there's some delays: 28th August
Rang up today to hear that they are mooting November for delivery!!!

In one way, I'm glad they're so popular, and I was never impatient about it, but in another I'm genuinely shocked by how terrible RS have been at order fulfilment.

Can anyone beat this timescale?

I am thinking of selling it as havnt used it much as I would have like :(

I ordered from Element14 and received it 3 weeks later.

I just checked their website and it still says 3 week lead time.

Blimey! I ordered one from RS at the start of July for my brother's birthday at the end of August.

Like you, I'm/he's still waiting. I'm half tempted to let him have mine and I hang on have his when/if it arrives.

My experience is pretty much the same ..... I'm still waiting my RPi :o

I have to admit, having posted the violin inducing, sympathy vote collecting, support begger of a thread post, I do have a Pi, as I too ordered from both suppliers in order to increase my odds.

I think mine too slightly longer than yours bitcpy, but a fraction of RS!

I'm not going to cancel RS tho, as I'm not fussed and the second one might make a good gift for someone (or I might even keep it) but if I, like some here, were hanging on for RS, I'd seriously consider cancelling that order and placing a new order with Farnell/element14. Or at least, placing an additional order with them and waiting to see which one comes first, before cancelling the other. If the lady was correct and RS are looking at a November delivery date, they must be inundated.
