spoke to Keith last night, yes we have some tables, yes he is attending.

so we will be running 8 bit through to 32 bit plus maybe a NG machine, and the Walker just running Amiga demos on a loop.

hopefully Keith will be on later with more details:thumbsup:

That's greet I'll hold off for now then.

If needed I can bring my AmigaOne it was reliable at previous events :D

I think because I can't come until the Saturday morning (bringing my daughter Joanna again and also one of my mates), I won't be bringing equipment this year as I'll be heading back home mid afternoon on the Sunday. Happy to help out in the afternoon with some competitions and manning the stall though.

Cheers

John

Hehe - will be great to see you too mate (and Nikki of course). THE Scotland is good thanks. Uncommonly sunny for the past few months !

Okay my friends let me give you the 411 =)

Firstly AmiBay will be having its own table for the community sales like last year and we are most likely to be next to the gaming tables that we shall be running so lets see what we need

_______________________________________

We are to focus mainly on computers 8 - 32 bits from Amiga to what ever really however we need to provide some tournaments for the show.

So we will need systems sadly I wont have the space to take any... well maybe one LOL.

_______________________________________

However AmiBay will be running Tournaments

A tournament should consider a minimum of 16 entrants per tournament and we will be doing 3 to 4 tournaments per day (yes there will be prizes from replay) - but we can throw one in of our own if we want to ;)

Obviously Sensi-Soccer will be up for Tournament but we need more, I did suggest a stun car racer tournament (head to head), IK+ but we need a couple of other suggestions for said torneys to see what people want to sink their teeth into =)

_______________________________________

So we need help with running these tournaments as well as machines - I already have ear-marked some spaces for members, but please shout out here if you can help with machines and or organizing and I will get you weekend passes for the show to make that magic happen.

if anyone would like be a tournament supervisor for a given tournament then that would be helpful =)

So I will get hold of Arcadian soon to get us a floor plan,

I should be up for bringing a few 8 bit machines & possibly an 1200 or Acorn 3020 depending upon what is needed.

If you there any preferences as to what 8 bits are wanted I will start getting some "easy to access" games set up.

I was planning on bringing the zx81 and Sam Coupe again and possibly an Enterprise 128 and a Speccy with Opus discovery disc drive - maybe a home build zx80 as well.

I also have Amstrad 128 & 128+, Electrons with +3s & few Spectrum +3/+2a's with internal IDEs but since I will be travelling by train I am limited as to what I can bring (Unless anyone is passing Preston on Friday night/Sunday evening and fance giving me a lift)

I might pop over to this since its only in Manchester.

I may be able to bring some consoles too. Got a nes, SNES, n64, master system 2 and mega drive. ;)

@KhaiuneGB

Its always good to meet fellow AmiBayers ;)

However the Reply Event is set for Consoles =/

I was thinking a Worms: Directors Cut tourney?

Can't commit to bringing any machines at this point in time, waiting for my friend to confirm travel arrangements.

Hey Zeets, I can supply a couple of WHDLoad machines along with my AmigaOne. If you like I can supply C64 + SD2IEC but I imagine we might have other C64's :)

I'm going to fins some stuff to donate for the Amibay stall

Stand by for news of something a lot of you will want to see................

No its not my arse or that sex tape of **********

Unfortunately, I may have to pull out of this.

My motor has completely :censored: itself and will not start.
I've already spent £190 replacing the glow plugs and the the pipe for the turbo as advised by the RAC.

Now, another RAC visit and it looks like there's a leak in the engine compartment and has advised for a leak test on the injectors with a view to replacing them ..... research into pricing suggests the injectors are not cheap.

To top this off, I don't actually have the money to get any more work done on it so I'm really in the :censored: on this.

Judging by all this, it doesn't look like I will be able to get it sorted before Play Expo :picard

Even if I do get it sorted, I'm well over budget already on this motor, not leaving me with any money for going to Play Expo :(

That's a shame Duncan. Hope you can get your car sorted one way or another.

:help: :sos :help:

It's also looking as though r0jaws isn't going to be able to make it to Expo either. This leaves us with a logistics headache, as Phil has quite a lot of stuff that we want to put on the AmiBay stand.

Phil's based in Boston, Lincolnshire and ideally, we could use some assistance from a member in Lincolnshire/Norfolk (around The Wash, basically) that will be going to Play Expo, to collect the stuff from Phil's and bring it to Manchester. I know that Lincolnshire Amiga Group are out there, bit I am unsure as to how many are members on here.

Is there anyone out there that can help us out with this problem, and achieve hero status in doing so?

If we try sending this stuff by courier, a lot of it is cassette games in cases and they will most likely arrive damaged, so we don't want to risk it.
