Interested in a board for an Amiga 2000. I have a GVP SCSI controller in there (not sure of model # at moment) with (I think) either 4MB or 6MB of memory. Would the 2 boards live happily together do you think?

have seen reports that it works, however, i can not test, as i do not own GVP, sorry

Hi, the TF will work in the A2000 with the vampire adapter to put it in the CPU slot, however, it doesn't work with other memory boards and the like I have found. ie: by itself it works just fine.

My questions is regarding this card, running in an late model 500 (rev 8a.1 non-plus machine)

- Can I close the case, with this accelerator card?
- I have an ScanPlusECS in my Amiga500. Will it fit with my scandoubler, or do I need a special CPU relocator?
- Is a CPU cooler recommended? If so, what are the dimensions, that I need to look for?
- What type of the following storage options, can I use with this accelerator: IDE, CF, SD?
- Can I use one of them dual kickstart switchers that have 1.3 and 3.1 in one?
- Can it run with the 2mb trapdoor mem upgrade from boobip? I have the one with gary adaptor and all that.
- How compatible is the 030 compared to 000, when playing the old games?

Yes, but 68k socket relocator is needed (it is included in my set, so no problems with fitting)

passive cooler is included in my set, You can also add a small 5vdc fan if You wish

IDE Hard drives, DOMs (Disk On Module), CF Cards, SD Cards (with CF to SD adapter)

sure, You can, but 1.3 need to be patched with scsi.device driver if You like to boot using it as in original 1.3 kickstart doesn't have this driver

Your questions are about rev 8a.1, it is better to mod trapdoor expansion to get 2MB chipRAM, You will be able to run almost all WHDLoad games then

- How compatible is the 030 compared to 000, when playing the old games?

some games will not boot from Floppy, but who cares, since You can boot from ide - You will use WHDLoad instread of floppies, and WHDLoad needs at least 010 cpu for "Quit" function, 030 is even better

The reason why I am using an ScanPlusECS, is that I need to use a modern flatscreen lcd monitor. I have this setup running, as I get headache from most CRT's and my woman gets migrane from CRT's. So I am using a scandoubler that takes up the same amount of space, as the IndevisionECS does.

I do understand what You mean, i dont like CRT's for same reason, that's why i was looking for a good solution. I have a big range of retro computers, so i have choosed this:

and i must admit i am very happy with it. This can also be a good solution for US and some other Amiga users, who doesn't have SCART TV's in their country, as it converts and upscales Amiga RGB output to Full HD

Ahhh... Those I know about. They have been praised a lot. Though I went for the internal scandoubler solution instead. I like internal stuff, in order to get as clean a table, as possible. The problem with the ScanPlusECS, is that it is running at 50hz refresh rate only. As to why I had to hunt down a special LCD monitor that can sync to that refresh rate. CRT monitors have no issues there. Though both of my IBM monitors and my Samsung can not do it.

Anyway...
I have sent 156,5 Euro through paypal. Regarding the CPU relocator. If you can ship it with one that moves the board up, instead of the angled one, then I think it can fit with the scandoubler that I have. It raises the Denise up, into the same height as an Gary adaptor does. I have seen that the Denise are clear from the board, when using the one that only shift the accelerator up. So if they are just as compatible as the angled one, then I think it will work.

I was thinking, if the board will allow me to mod my 8a.1 board from 500 to 500-Plus.
I am thinking about getting 1mb Chip onboard, and then add additional 1mb chip from trapdoor.
